Itachi and nagato are at the same level

i think nagato could beat itatchi because of the six paths power but i also think itatchi could gain the upper hand a few times because of his genjutsu techniques.

You see, if Nagato uses Chibaku Tensei, I don't know what he'd do there. Perhaps think of a way of escaping somehow? He thought of destroying it because he had Killer Bee and Naruto on his side to provide with more firepower. If he's alone he'd change the strategy up.

It started off with a 2v2. Itachi was taking Naruto and Bee on with close range combat and some jutsu. Then Itachi used Amaterasu on Nagato's summoning. When Nagato sapped Bee of his chakra and turned young, on the verge of killing Bee and Naruto, Itachi took out all of the summonings and saved them with the Susano'o. Oh, and I forgot that Itachi lit Nagato ablaze before he used Shinra Tensei to push the fire off. If Nagato wasn't an Edo Tensei, the fire would have taken off his arm because that was the part regenerating itself, along with his legs.

well unfortunately we'll never know because the one time itachi had the chance to test his powers against nagatos 1 on 1, thats the reason itachi has lost props because of him many people who been wanting to see those two have a goku vs vegeta like battle didn't get to see it because(we already knew itachi would have lost)but he pretty much made himself look like he didn't have a pair.

LOL, the only things that Itachi one ups Nagato on is genjutsu, speed, and intelligence slightly. Taijutsu? absolutely not... He stopped both Killer B and Naruto once they got into melee range of him, both of which are faster than Itachi.

Both Naruto and bee failed to even hit itachi, even though their suppose to be faster than him.

But anyway Itachi would most likely win if he were to fight Nagato. All he needs to do is cast a small quick Genjutsu, on Nagato, then Seal him, or Burn him, while Nagato is unknowingly trapped in an Genjutsu, that seems perfectly normal. And don't bring up that " Why didn't he use it on Nagato when they fought". Because Nagato was an Edo Tensei so Genjutsu was useless, unless it was Shisui's Kotoamatsukami which was stated. If it weren't for Nagato being an Edo Tensei, that whole fight would've been diffrent.
He wouldn't even had of been able to use Chibaku Tensei, if he weren't an Edo, Because after Itachi destroyed his hands, Nagato regenerated (Since he was an Edo Tensei.) Which enabled him to use Chibaku Tensei, because Nagato needs to preform the hand sign to use Chibaku tensei, luckily it got regenrated otherwise he would've had NO hands, which = No Chibaku Tensei.

you keep saying IF nagato weren't an edo itachi would win but.. what you failed to realize is that when he was under edo tensei kabuto controls all of his movements.meaning nagato can't act on his own ,you're ASSUMING that nagato's approach in battle would have been the same if his not under control which is a FAIL on your puny logic..

if you read manga carefully nagato was able to feel the pressure when itachi's gonna use MS techniques,which only means one thing, IF nagato is not an edo tensei and has free will and his target is itachi instead of naruto and bee then he would've countered amaterasu before itachi hits him with one. and we still not sure if he can absorb it, And don't bring up that "Why didn't he use it to absorb amatersu" because kabuto's in control not nagato.

now knowing itachi, his first move in his EVERY fight is genjutsu. be it a cheapshot or tsukoyomi, he will try to cast genjutsu regardless of the enemy. seeing how itachi approach nagato in the fight he should have said something to his mind like "genjutsu won't work with edo's so I need another plan" or something like that. but kishi did not put any statement that will clear your ASSUMPTION.

Picture this ,edo madara have the complete rinnegan since because he have the sharingan skill and the rinnegan skill.Edo madara give nagato the rinnegan .Nagato is clan the uzumaki clan is a cousin of senju decendent (he not an uchiha,there fore he donot have the full powerful of the rinnegan.
Itachi on the other hand is an uchiha which donot have the rinnegan abilities but portion of it abilities since the complete rinnegan consist of the sharingan ability
