You guys miss the bit about him being a reanimated corpse? Imo that makes a lot more sense than him surviving that gigantic fall considering his corpse went missing. Shisui's motives don't fit this character but everything else does.

Yeah there was a little bit of Black Zetsu left stuck to the white Zetsu body Chojuro cut in half. I don't think it disappeared, he's probably gonna try creating a new Kaguya since the other original is impossible to reach now. Maybe he'll capture Toneri and force him to eat a chakra fruit he cultivated from human sacrifices like a philosopher's stone.

If you pay attention to the panel where Black Zetsu goes underground to go to the battlefield you can see there's still some of him stuck to the upper half of the white zetsu body that Chojuro cut in half.

Definitely. I also stick to the belief that BZ's 'seal' was not absolute or witnessed enough to ensure total defeat. Either way, he's pulled an Orochimaru.

Zetsu has an almost 100% track record on collecting near/dead Uchiha corpses. It's the guys hobby. That corpse might be literally the only asset he has left. This is a mini-series and a smaller scale plot than the War revival after all.
