the whole river isn't lava just the balls that the dragon is shooting from its mouth it all depends on how he is using the chidori nagashi and he still probably cant stop the balls with it

The way DS used it he turned the river of mud into a river of lava. So when the dragon shoots out mud balls they are already lava balls.

he didn't say that he said ''making a dragon rushing with you'' meaning there is a dragon shooting mud balls at him inside the river which he combines with the fire to make it lava balls

its a full body chidori and the increase in frequency change will destroy any lava that gets near me as lava is weak to raiton

to clarify i have released the chidori current from my entire body.

i will clarify for future reference.
