Looks: Isako is a slender man of moderate height. His hair is a sandy blonde with a good amount of length reaching his mid-back. His hair breaks off into spikes in a manner that aims to replicate the tail of the Ichibi. Blue tattoos line his face and body, particular around his black and yellow eyes. During his travels he wears an orange robe with black lining and a thick red sash. His legs are covered by black pants with tape wrapped around his shins. He wears a standard pair of sandals on his feet and often sports a rice hat with several tags hanging from the brim. While in battle he sometimes wears a white and orange porcelain Tanuki mask in the style of ANBU ninja. | Personality: Much like Tanuki who raised him, Isako is not a serious man. He is often aloof, drinking sake, or tricking others for humor or to take something he wants. As he was raised outside of human civilization he is ignorant of many customs and morals which can get him into some trouble. |

The One-Tailed Beast, Shukaku

Abilities:
- Like all tailed beasts, Shukaku has an enormous supply of chakra compared to most ninja. However, it does not have as much as the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox, gaining +100 chakra.
- Whenever Shukaku is sealed into its jinchuuriki, it has the ability to eat away its host's personality and influence him or her with its bloodlust behavior whenever he or she sleeps, which leads its host to develop insomnia. Host can use the sand in his gourd to take on the form of a miniature Shukaku, or even create a giant copy of Shukaku's body.
- Complete mastery over the Sand and Wind elements, both in human form and tailed beast forms, without the use of any handseals. This includes a dynamic shield of sand that protects the host automatically. Host also gains a passive +20 to his Sand jutsu due to his Magnetism Release ability.
Background Info
History: He was perhaps not born at the Dragon's Rest, as truth be told nobody is sure of his origins. A traveling convoy of Tanuki had made their usual stop at the mysterious bones to leave tributes and pray for safe journey, as they had many times before. Upon this visit they were greeted by an unlikely gift, an infant left at the Dragon's altar. They couldn't know who had left it, but they knew they could not leave the child to die. Without a name, the Tanuki took to calling him Tankun, Tan-, the required prefix for all Tanuki names, and -kun, for child. They weren't a very creative bunch. The years went by and Tankun grew into a healthy child, but there were some interesting features that grew with him. Blue markings began to show across his body, his ears pointed, and his eyes took on a black coloring with bright gold pupils. The appearance bore a striking resemblance to Shukaku, the One-Tailed Beast.
This was a great omen according to the Tanuki who worshiped Shukaku as a living God, the creator of their kind and the embodiment of the desert. A great sage of the Tanuki began to suspect there was more to the child than looks alone, and through a series of trials succeeded in unlocking Tankun's sand ability, and confirmed he was indeed the current vessel for Shukaku himself. The Tanuki began to worship Tankun and pampered him, beyond the already cushy life that one has when living among the Tanuki of Hachi-takioashisu, the Eight Falls Oasis. He began to go along with them on their pilgrimages to various locations throughout the world. They would go to locations where Shukaku had rampaged many years prior to pray and perform cleansing rituals for the locals. Being the host of Shukaku, Tankun became the central figure in these rituals, gaining the title "Sand Monk" among locals. These trips helped Tankun get accustomed to the human world, one that was completely foreign to him for most of his life. To better integrate with the locals he gave himself a more human name - Isako Tanryu - and began learning the ninja arts.
During one of these such pilgrimages, Isako met an intriguing man named Xur. A deeply mysterious figure, he preached to crowds about joining a group called "The Nine". Isako approached Xur and was captivated by his stories and shiny exotic wares. The rest of the night was a blur of sake, but by morning time he had joined this group with a blood oath, one that he scarcely remembered making. For quite some time after, Isako believed that this "Nine" referred to the tailed beasts, and that this group was worshiping him much like the Tanuki. An honest mistake, and by the time he realized the error, he was in too deep. The hassle of leaving the group would be too great, and Xur wasn't such a bad guy either, in fact he was kind of cool. So, Isako decided to remain with The Nine as they adventured in the Warring States Era. Unfortunately, Xur seceded power to a man named Cross Uchiha, who re-branded the clan as the "Black Order". The ol' bait-and-switch failed to discourage Isako, he even preferred the company of Cross, a renowned drinker and gambler which are both a favorite pastime of the Tanuki.

While the gourd itself was useful, it had little value beyond being a simple container for the sand inside. The Scorpio on the other hand was developed to not only carry sand, but to be a useful tool in battle. The shape is designed after the tail of a scorpion, with numerous segments which end with a stinger-like head. The segments are each composed of dozens of hand-sized "scales" which each are hollow, sharply edged and filled with sand. These scales are loosely bound and designed in a way that allows the user to release them at will. In close quarters combat, this allows the user to swing the tail for attacks and defense by controlling the sand inside with hand movements. The scales carry an inherent A-rank durability. The head segment of Scorpio has a nozzle where a scorpion's tail would have its stinger. This is where the sand inside is commonly released from, though it can also be released from between the scales for quicker access. In terms of abilities, the Scorpio has several.

- An A-ranked highly compressed stream of sand can be fired from the nozzle reaching up to long range.
- The scales can be released along with sand to swirl violently around a target. This can be used as an A-ranked attack up to mid-range by having the scales slice up the target, or as an omnidirectional shield around the user.
- The user can use the sand within the tail to extend its reach momentarily, similar to Renji extending Zabimaru, for quick B-rank strikes up to mid range.
- The strongest attack allows the user to release all of the sand from the nozzle of Scorpio in the form of a violent tornado. The tornado can be made directly from the nozzle and extend up to long range in any direction the user wants (horizontal, diagonal, vertical, etc.) or, they can stab the nozzle into the ground and have the tornado form from directly below the target. The tornado is S-ranked in strength and can be used twice, requiring the weapon to be replenished after each usage.

Weapons: Tankun carries the traditional assortment of ninja tools within pouches sewn into his robe. This allows him quick access to items such as kunai, shuriken, paper tags, smoke bombs, etc. On his back he carries both a long staff, which he is proficient in battle with, and a metallic shield that was given to him during his travels. He carries four unique tags equally spaced along the brim of his rice heat, each carrying within it a vast amount of sand.

Description: This technique allows a sand use to easily transport all the sand they would ever need for a battle giving them access to their arsenal even if fighting on an ocean. They will carry with them paper tags with one of four symbols drawn on them: north, south, east and west. Each of these seals contains sand from a desert in each of those regions of the world. These four deserts each gave their sand unique properties. When releasing the sand from the seals the user can create varying effects. By placing the seal on the ground they can create a geyser of sand which can damage an opponent's legs and launch them into the air. Waving the seal in front of themselves while releasing the sand will create a large wave of sand similar to the Sand Avalanche technique. Releasing the seal from above the target can allow it to crash down on them and bury them alive. If the user wishes to remove this desert from the battlefield they must place the correct tag on the sand and draw it in. The deserts and the sand drawn from each are as follows:

North: Gobi - The Gobi desert experiences tremendous winds that over time have infused itself into the sand. This gives the sand a neutrality with lightning which it is usually weak against. The drawback to this is that it gains a weakness to fire. The flames feed off the wind of the sand feeding the flames and increasing its heat. This can let the fire melt sand that would typically be able to withstand it.
West: Atacama - The sand from Atacama is rumored to be the driest sand in the world. The sand is infused with earth chakra which acts as a double edged sword. It prevents the sand from becoming wet, but at the same time it increases its vulnerability to lightning. This gives it a strength against water techniques, but a double weakness against lightning.
South: Sahara - The sands from the Sahara are larger in grain size than typical deserts. This gives sand techniques used when wielding this sand a much stronger punch as well as giving defensive techniques more durability. Sand techniques used with this source gain a +10 damage boost, but due to the size of the sand grains its also heavier and slower making techniques move half as fast, for instance the Shield of Sand technique would only be capable of intercepting taijutsu 1.5x the user's base speed.
