Here is Kabuto leaving that location on a mission shortly after Tobi showed him the plant and Zetsu army

Other locations Sasuke knows well are different places around the village (The Uchiha neighborhood, shrine, Forest of Death where he got bitten, if any of those are still around) and any of Orochimaru's hideouts, and there's the Valley of the End. They are nearer to Tobi's hideout and Orochimaru's.

There is a fair chance that Sasuke and Orochimaru are heading to Obito's old hideout. Sasuke has been there on three occasions, first when recovering from battle with Itachi, and second when delivering Bee's clone, third when transplanting Itachi's eyes to gain EMS. When Orochimaru said "Them" he may have been including Hashirama's clone. Consider it in the context of Sasuke's comments. Hashirama setup the village system and was the head of his clan. So when Sasuke is asking "What does it mean to be a member or a village? What does it mean to be a member of a clan?" Hashirama would have these answers, since he established the Village system.

Also consider that Zetsu (the universal answer for how so-and-so knew this or that) came from Hashirama's DNA so there may be residual information stored in the "Hashi Cloud" tm. that Orochimaru can access. Maybe he will cut open the Hashirama clone and look at the rings to see what happened, who knows..

This doesn't convince me that Sasuke knows it very well, you also have to factor in that Oro knows Sasuke knows this place well so it would have to be somewhere Sasuke's been before he died. And I'm not sure if you realized this but Sasuke is already at Madara's old hideout where the zet army was made.

Haha Madara's a little busy right now. But I can see him parking the Juubi for a few minutes to chat (genjutsu would be faster 'cause of the time difference possibilities). Tobi would be all "Goddammit Sasuke you were supposed to stay back at base the hell you doing here! .... YOU DID WHAT??"

I don't really follow. Zetsus have memories like any regular person would. Communities without a written language store their history... do I even need to explain?

There is no need to store the history for zetsu or Obito. Humans record history because our lives are finite and to past down to future generations. The zetsu and Obito are it, the infinite tsukyomi plan doesn't need to be past down to any future generations.

Also if that was the case why did Madara need to teach everything to Obito, he was already half zetsu he could have just downloaded this info as you suggest Yamoto might.
