Even a lame idea like slug mode would be better than nothing. She was also beaten up by kabuto when a little blood got on her.

I think they should do the thing where the previous hokage just retires like the 3rd did when Yamato became hokage.

she did very well under the circumstances. if it was not for her 95% of villagers wud be dead. giving all her chakra along with katsuyu's to massive number of ppl and shield them from a uber technique like shinra tensei - is certainly a hokage level jutsu.

obviously many here wud have liked for a hokage to eliminate pain in the first place. but the thing is pain is not ur orochimaru level ninja. lets face it. pain wud give other hokages a run for their money. he even killed jman who was at kage level, so tsunade cant beat him either unless she knows some of his secret. now consider the scenario. tsunade mindlessly jumped infront of one pain, being killed, then pain using shinra tensei. all villagers are dead. konoha extinct. she certainly has more responsibility to her villagers than that.

a hokages duty is to protect the village and its people. she protected the people and done her duty as hokage. so she has performed very very well, in my view anyway.

that's a way of seing things... but in my oppinion, an hokage should be someone at least has strong has J-man. She's the first hokage how's not strong, but good with med jutsu, and look what happen!
