Is Tobi the same guy throughout the years?

I have looked into the heights of itachi, kisame and sasuke and the long haired madara always seems taller. Maybe it is just a mistake but look at the panels with the long haired madara and itachi.

Itachi was about 4-6 when Tobi attack.

When he meet Tobi, Itachi was about 12-13.

He probably just grew his hair while thinking of another plan to get the Nine-Tails and now Sasuke.

He probably cut his hair and stuff when akatsuki decided to make its move.

No need to flame, Zlad. Just an observation I made. Remember once upon a time people assumed Tobi was Madara, and hell, there are still some Madara theorists around.

This is not a Tobi ID thread cause I have not made any assumptions on who he is. It was just really a question on why he would change so much over the years, and a comment on the height. The age is null because when Itachi beat Orochimaru the first time he was ELEVEN.

To the hair thing. Really? Youre reading a manga where people have hands in their palms and mystical eyes, and what concerns you is Tobi's hair? Did it not occur to you he had short hair when he attacked Minato, his hair grew during the six year period between then and the Coup, then he cut it again?

To the height, thing, that can also be explained. The Itachi in the Coup pic is shorter than Sasuke and Minato, therefore, Tobi will appear taller than the other pics.

i do believe long haired masked man is the real madara and helped itachi kill off the uchiha clan, and short haired masked man is tobi and took kyuubi from kushina , their agendas seem completely different, while one was slowly advancing the moons eye plan by getting rid of any who might have been able to see through it the other was just causing general mayhem instead of concentrating on securing the kyuubi

The problem with this is that by my calculations the era of the Hidden Bloody Mist, when Kisame met Tobi, was around the same time of the Uchiha Massacre. Hence same Tobi that helped Itachi (long haired one).

And then later on, just after Nagato got killed, Kisame recognized Tobi from being the same person. So that pretty much means a continuos line of Tobi.

If this is the case then Tobi might be Madara and Kagami
The Madara we saw with the host of the 3 tails was really him he played(remember that he Madara never claimed to be Tobi when ) I think it was him who attacked the leaf with the 9 tails
But the one who claimed to be Tobi then later on Madara might have been Kagami.
That's a maybe a big one at that it's likely not to be true.

Here is the thing. In the Japanese culture, your hair style, just like your name is a big deal on what you are as a person. Your identity. It is a theme followed in both Naruto and Bleach where the characters make a big deal about their name. Just like having blond hair makes you a rebel in the Japanese culture.

Tobi would have no need to hide his face from Naruto now that Madara was revealed to the world. It cannot be Madara hiding his identity further. Now if we look at the timeline, Madara probably died of old age, somewhere between Minato´s childhood, and the present. Even if Madara died during the tme Minato was young, he would have already been an old man, unlike the summon Kabuto did. This means Kabuto brought Madara past his prime by giving him access to Harishima´s cells, and his Rinnegan in a YOUNG FORM. Tobi seems to be doing his own thing, and tried to replace Madara. Basicaly he betrayed him.

he has different bodys cause in one anime episode it shows his chin when hes talking to kisame he removes his mask, and you can tell his chin of his face is like kagami chin, and pale. but in the anime episode where tobi fights konan you can see his face is dark, like it has a tan or its brown
