Is This Love?​

Your eyes, more sparkling than the brightest star,
The kindness and warmth you give off, so very true,
For even standing and watching from afar,
I was able to fall for you.

The way you smile and giggle sets my heart at twice the pace,
The way you make that adorable pout,
When a blush crosses your gorgeous face,
You take my heart, and bring forth the happiness inside about.

Dreams spent on you, during many of my nights,
Times of day when I just want to call,
My heart skipping a beat when you’re in sight,
All these things happen, because I want to be with you after all.

The painful feeling when my chest tightens,
At the thought of you going where I cannot reach, like a flying dove,
The feeling I have, I guess I could liken,
To something called “love”.

It explains the pain I feel at your absence,
The pounding in my chest at your very sight,
But also the happiness I feel at your presence,
I want to love you with all my might.

I wish the time we share will last forever,
Because I hurt so much when we say goodbye,
The tears I shed threaten never to stop ever,
But I won’t give up on you without a try.

I hope one day, that we share a life together,
Feeling nothing but happiness and delight,
Loving and cherishing each other forever,
As we smile and bask in the glowing light.​
