as you see above, during the opening, he first goes ssj, then ssb, then ssbk and then pushes the kaoiken ki away while looking like this covered in white energy

also here, he is standin on the battlefield with the white aura around him in front of probably jiren who is hid behind the smoke

I was thinking that he boosted his power enough to the point of his base form > ssb, sort of like Ultimate Gohan. I'm not entirely too sure.

OT side note..

There's a mortal that can defeat gods in other realms so this could be a way of pushing Kakarot/Vegeta to new pinnacles for a whole new arc after this1, Gohan aswell..
Mortals that can beat gods is a sign of more of DB to come if the cards are dealt right, otherwise why mention it..

yes but i think a base form god goku wouldnt be good because dragonball is known for super saiyan so another form would be better. maybe this white aura would be the first step to super saiyan white or similar lol

I think he learns to concentrate his energy like frieza probably a way to disguise his attacks from jiren kinda like how whis told them when they first started training. Trying to escape the ball of destruction was great training for goku. He has to strengthen himself mentally to prevent getting blindsided

tbh goku wouldve easily gotten out of the ball,

frieza = goku and goku was in base during the ball scene

Turning up the juice in specific instances for rush or counter attack
Is it a sign of a new transformation ? No evidence in the slightest for that case

Well it would be A transformation but1 of, say mystic level transformation.. The white aura is basically his power seeping out of him while in base form..
The stamina that an life force that can be saved by not transforming is what the goal of their training is so it's the best route to take..

OT! Toriyama once stated that he wanted to do away with transformations in an interview & it's seems he may take that route for some or all the transformation characters by the way he's relaying the message through the gods..
