I can't see him being forgiven unlike Sasuke he started a war where there has been 40k plus deaths because of him which in comparison to killing a few people here and there like little Sasuke can't be so easily overlooked.

How is it nonsense? Everything he said is a plausible outcome. The only one he didn't list is madara and obito succeeding, which, isn't very likely due to the whole recurring will of fire will prevail theme in the story.
