When it comes to two S/t users, the one with the better reflexes along with sensing abilities would win.
Taking on 8 gates Gai directly is suicide except for RSM Naruto.
If the S/t user's teleportation is instantaneous and long range like FTG, then the user can escape from 8 gates Gai if the user has knowledge of the 8 gates. For example, Minato could easily fly away with FTG to some far off FTG seal the moment the he sees red steam coming out of Gai's body and before the thought of attack comes to Gai's mind.
Tsukiyomi can be negged if the user has FTG along with Maa and Paa's fusion sage mode, they'd constantly be disturbing the user's chakra with NE rendering genjutsu useless.

Just so you know. Minato mean "port" or habour, very similiar to telelport
and his clan name "Namikaze" mean wave winds or lord/god of winds

While Minato isn't necessarily very fast, his usage of Hiraishin enables him to defeat many ninja in combat due to its unpredictable usage and the fact that Minato's an intelligent fighter.

As Itachi stated, every technique has a weakness and thus, so does FTG. Even Infinite Tsukyomi had a weakness, so it's difficult to believe that FTG doesn't.

would this apply to all sage mode users or just madara and hashi level?
