Is there a legitimate reason why Akatsuki never attacked together instead of in pairs

Seems like all of their problems could've been solved if they just attacked all at once.

I can't remember if there was a reason or not.

One is because two man cells are efficient for their particular missions.

Two is because it's entirely too risky to send everybody at once. They all could've died

Except they didn't go all at once. One team would go, and then another team would go, which is the same as them all going at the same time. In fact it's worse.

They couldn't even extract the bijuus all at once I don't think, so sending them in order to have it go quicker doesn't make sense.

As for them dying, no.

Bro I just solo'd your thread and you are still talking?

If the Akatsuki attacked all out it would be over, but Plot Armor > Akatsuki

it's pretty obvious those 9 would've stood out like a sore thumb anywhere being in the same place. It ran counterproductive to them trying to carry out their tasks in relative secrecy.

Sort of. They went in pairs but not one pair after another. They went in pairs but they were, for the most part searching, Intel gathering and then capturing the bijuu in tandem.

Pain also mentioned the bijuu needed to be sealed in order of tails and it takes all of the. together days to seal one bijuu into the Geno. Sending them all at once against a bijuu poses a problem.

If someone dies during the attempt they risk their secret being exposed, the sealing process would take an age until they find a replacement, and with their secret out all villages would be after them once discovered...okay a few problems XD

These are answers I was looking for.

Still though, I don't think the Akatsuki were trying to keep themselves a secret. Ohnoki and Raikage both used them as they hired them. Did I miss something?

Them going out in pairs to search for intel makes sense to me, but I still don't see where they said that. Also, sending member in pairs of two would only increase the chance of someone dying, and, in fact, a lot of members did die because they were sent in pairs, which is part of my point.

that's just how they did business, they underestimated their opposition. They were multitasking as well, while Sasori and Deidara went after the Gaara and succeeded in taking his Bijuu other Akatsuki were collecting the Bijuu elsewhere.

their objective of capturing the jin wasn't something Onoki or the Raikage knew about. Their knowledge of Akatsuki only went back as far as their days of being a merc outfit.

it wasn't arbitrarily stated, but it's the math i came up with when i put together a statement that was made (i'm thinking it was Yamato) about how a squad needed enough members to carry out missions, but in enough small numbers to where said squad won't stick out + 9 characters wearing the same thing from head to toe would've ended up getting unwanted attention in a village/town somehow, especially because their "uniform" was pretty unique.

Also, sending member in pairs of two would only increase the chance of someone dying, and, in fact, a lot of members did die because they were sent in pairs, which is part of my point.
true, but there's also something to be said that they were also able to accomplish certain tasks because they were only sent in pairs. It was bad enough for them that there were certain pairs that tended to bicker and fight because they had different beliefs and their personalities clashed . If there were 3 or more of them together at a time and they all rubbed each other the wrong way, they would likely end up killing each other more times than they completed objectives.

Would've never happened. Itachi spied on akatsuki, had he learned all of them were heading to kohona he would've leaked the info back to kohona which could've lead to any possibility. Perhaps any earlier gokage meeting or something. It would not of panned out so great, even if akatsuki had won, the group would be mostly destroyed thus require more time to extract the bijuus which would leave them vulnerable. It has nothing to do with "plot" it's common sense.

Because kishi wanted to make naruto manga long with lot of episodes and top of that good has to triumph over evil, so. okay kidding guys. The only legit thing is they had to back up lot of money so they need to be financially and military wise stable so they need to scatter and do mission to achieve that. Second they are collecting information on all countries strategies and where abouts and info on jinchuuriki(abilities and strengths and weaknesses) so sending the right duo and make a strategy to infiltrate and catch the particular jinchuuriki' .

It still wasn't a secret. By the end of part 1 we already knew what the Akatsuki wanted, and at the beginning of part 1 they made it clear again.

By that point, keeping it a secret would be pointless. Like I said before, it makes sense for them to keep it a secret while they're gathering intel and everything, but once they started actually capturing the beasts it didn't really matter. Sasuke going after KB is a good example of what I mean.

Pain is proof that they wouldn't all stand out, he literally has several bodies with the same clothing and attacked the village.

Idk, I guess the personalities could clash, but then Pain wouldn't have paired Kakuzo with Hidan if he saw it as such a problem.

Idk, man.
