Is the Kakashi novel canon?

OD herself hasn't said they are canon yet. She has read more interviews and stuff than we have. If it was canon, she would say so, but she hasn't said anything definitive (Yes or No), which means she doesn't know for herself. I remember when people were debating about The Last, she translated a bunch of Kishi videos that said that he was going to show what happened in between 699 and 700.

No such statement for the novels.

Plus, the Blood Prison stuff is not canon.

I believe OD goes by Japan standard though.

Manga + The Last= Canon

Novels + Anime + drama CD's = non-Canon.

It matters because Kakashi has a new jutsu. And if people use it in debate threads, people better agree if it's canon or not.

Notice how OD doesn't know yet if it's canon or not while you already put it alongside anime(fillers I assume) and drama CD's as non-canon that's what I disagree with.

TakL has another point of view, he says its canon.

Just because the Kakashi novel includes blood prison doesn't automatically make the novel non canon, a lot of times non canon elements would later be accepted into canon such as Raiga, who was an anime filler character supposedly part of the seven swordsmen of the mist, he was later shown in the manga as well.

To me these novels are obviously canon.

This "Kakashi new jutsu being used in debates" thing is funny because no matter what this new jutsu is it will pale in comparison to Sharingan Kakashi's feats let alone DMS, its not a big deal.
