Is it? Because there's this really funny part where the SA actually paid off doctors to take care of them, but everyone else was left without them.

Still, it might address the part where Shinobi are hired guns, but I doubt that because Tenten is still selling shit.

Lol. Lee<Sharinganless Kakashi w/o gates.

No it's not.

EDIT: It doesn't really matter though I think it fills in the missing holes between chapters 698 and 699.

I'd say it's 50/50. The novels are done by Kishimoto's editors, and while we don't know if the man himself had any input, Kishi's editors trump everything and everyone else (bar Kishimoto himself) in reliability and authenticity.

At the end of the day, it comes down to what you choose to believe.

No, Since the guy who wrote it include stuff from blood prison into the novel.

It's ironic. The SA is all about friednship and helping each other out, but then they go off and say "screw everyone who didn't help us"
No it's not.

699-700? Sort of, I guess.

That really can't be. How are we going to decide what goes and what doesn't?
No, Since the guy who wrote it include stuff from blood prison into the novel.

So far, in the first 2 chpts plus the prologue, they've only mentioned it's a prison.

We have no choice but consider it canon, since there are many unexplained plot holes between 699-700.

Casual Japanese fans= Manga and The Last is only canon

No its not canon.

lol anyone who gives a solid answer with no doubt is full of shit. xd

Apparently we still can't call it canon since we didn't get "an official statement from Kishi"(lol) but the logical assumption is that they are canon.

We don't know at this point since we didn't get "an official statement from Kishi"(lol) but the logical assumption is that they are canon.

Wouldn't that mean that until Kishi says they are canon, they're not?

No, because many including myself already think they are canon.

More content released after the end of the original manga to fill in the gaps between 699 and 700 just like The Last.

Kishi is also drawing the illustrations, no reason to see this as anything other than canon.

The only reason why I am not already calling it canon is because people will bi*** about "no official statement", I think that's really just nitpicking.

OD herself hasn't said they are canon yet. She has read more interviews and stuff than we have. If it was canon, she would say so, but she hasn't said anything definitive (Yes or No), which means she doesn't know for herself. I remember when people were debating about The Last, she translated a bunch of Kishi videos that said that he was going to show what happened in between 699 and 700.

No such statement for the novels.

Plus, the Blood Prison stuff is not canon.

I believe OD goes by Japan standard though.

Manga + The Last= Canon

Novels + Anime + drama CD's = non-Canon.

It matters because Kakashi has a new jutsu. And if people use it in debate threads, people better agree if it's canon or not.
