Ver·sa·tile - (adjective) Able to adapt or be adapted to many different functions or activities.

So as far as versatility goes would Sasuke's Ameno be the most versatile singular jutsu ever?...meaning that this single jutsu could be used in the most different situations appropriate? (not counting Dojutsu) For example:

1. He can shift himself to anywhere within a finite area of space.

2. He can switch places with different objects to shift himself.

3. He can shift himself and his teammates' attacks into their opponents.

4. He can shift his opponents into his and his teammates' attacks.

5. He can shift his entire Susanoo across an area of effect.

And if Sasuke's Ameno isn't the most singularly versatile jutsu then which is?...I think Rasengan is 2nd

Nah, I'd say Kamui is a better choice in versatility since it has overall more efficient defensive and offensive usages.

COAT orbs aren't really a jutsu in a sense though, but sure I guess we'll go along with the obvious haxx sage qualifications :sdo:

but they are a jutsu...the term "jutsu" literally translates to "technique" in english

Idc about no translations it's a sage haxx of course it would be the most versatile that's why it shouldn't count.

I think Shadow Clone Jutsu, had Naruto actually used its full potential, would've taken that spot.

Just stop and think how ridiculously adaptable that Jutsu alone is.

Then neither should Ameno. They are both abilities brought on by Rikudo Sage power.

OT: I'm gonna go with Byakugou in versatility:

1) it can regenerate wounds
2) be used to summon (Katsuyu)
3) allows for remote healing (via katsuyu)
4) can be used offensively (Strength of a hundred)

May not be as haxed as Ameno/FTG/TSB/Kamui but it is up their in versatility

So would FTG credit goes towards the ftg or shadow clone if you have both?

EDIT: Hm this is an interesting topic, hot thread. Now that I really think about it there are a lot of great jutsu that can be used in different ways..especially/obviously gay Naruto's shadow clone jutsu.

The way Itachi uses that thing with his genjutsu and illusions alone is very impressive. I wanna give it to the clone but FTG plus clones still is difficult.

@ bold what you don't like "spam copies of myself until we win"?...lmaooo

regarding itachi I think listing just his use of genjutsu might be a little too broad
