No, that's ridiculous. Not even Amaterasu can beat Pain. 1 on 1 Pain is unbeatable unless full intelligence is given.
i agree with this 100%. but think minato is the only one who could truely fight pain 1 on 1. minato, orochimaru and neji are the genuises of their generation, but minato is the only one so far that has the reputation and jutsu ability to fight with pain. minato would probably get pwnd by pain in the beginning, but it would only be a matter of time til he figured out what pains powers were. then his talent and speed would pwn pain.
oh yea, i think the 9 tails could fight evenly with pain too. beat pain....hmmmmmm idk. it would be a hell of a fight though.

Yeah, i think sasuke could in fact beat pein....
Right now outside Shusui and his teleporting jutsu, no one is stopping sasuke..
Unless Naruto teams up with his kyubi, then we have an entirely different arguement.
Sasuke is nice in taijutsu, second only to itachi in genjutsu, and was trained by oro in ninjutsu..
Pein was hella strong, but unlike naruto who had to overpower(and outlast) pein to win(including letting the kyuni take over, sasuke literally has a counter for all of Peins tricks(bodies included)...
And i ****ing HATE SASUKE.

Sasuke does not have a counter for all of Peins moves. What is he going to do against a Shinra Tensei? Pein is the best counter to genjutsu with multiple bodies and his ninjutsu's will be useless against Preta and Deva realms. The thing is w/o knowing the secret of Nagato's body Sasuke doesn't really have a chance. This body who has all the powers of the 6 paints can revive the other bodies.

lol genjutsu wont work on any of the 6 piens cuz all of them are dead bodies controlled by nagato from some where else.

i don't think so.
pein neary wiped out the whole Konoha village by himself [well, not really by himself, with his power-dead people] and he is really strong being the leader of the akatsuki. also he has the rinnegan, which is from that dude who is the founder of the ninja world, with the 6 stages thing...
sasuke killed itachi thats true...and orochimaru. but i can't help but think there a carch, some limit or maybe a luck/chance thing when he fights oponents.

Pain is being seriously underestimated here.
It doesn't matter how strong your jutsu are against pain, even FRS, because pain has the revival technique to bring the bodies back.
The only way to kill pain is to kill nagato, and to kill nagato you must
1.Learn about him while he's attacking you
2.Find out where he is
3.Get to nagatos body while the bodies try and stop you advancing to where nagato is
4.Be speedy enough to get to nagato before Konan gets them out of the area
5.Be strong enough after all this to then kill konan or incapacitate her somehow and kill nagato afterwards.
Sasuke may pull off 1, maybe, but its not a definite.
After that 2 is fairly obvious, the secret tells you hes transmitting chakra so the higher up the better.

Naruto didnt beat him.
Pain won, and pinned naruto to the floor and killed pa frog and the big summons where shinra tenseid away from the battlefield, all while pain had already used most of his chakra doing his stuff in Konoha.
Even when naruto went 8tails, nagato still said he could make a bigger moon and try again after the 1st one.
Even knowing his secrets and fighting styles naruto still got owned, he did better than anyone else against Pain-but ultimately he still lost.
i actually have to agree with twisted for once. without ANY knowledge of pain before fighting him, the chances of beating him are almost zero. like i said, the two beings in the naruto universe that could fight pain one on one and win WITHOUT prior knowledge are minato and possibly kyuubi. but even they would have a hell of a fight and wouldn't walk away from the fight unharmed.
naruto was pwning pain in the beginning sure, but it's because pain didn't have the god realm to start with. when god realm's powers came back, face it, naruto got WTFPWND, even with all the information jiraiya produced for him.

i agree, Naruto got pawn. Sasuke going to be even stroger them pain.
Nagato pawn Konoha by him self.
at this moment sasuke isnt stronger then pain because zetsu sais that naruto's stronger then sasuke( well the sasuke we saw fight kirabi ) and naruto isnt as strong as Nagato was so no deal.
the only move that sasuke as to attack pain is kirin/amatrasu wich he would use against god realm and im absulately chore he would .
amatrasu as 2 or 3 shots while kirin only as 1 because it exasts him like sharigan did kakashi at the beggining.
the only pain i believe he would beat is petra/robot pain and taijutsu pain perhaps if he didnt take his soul all other pains are to powerfull with there style mainly god realm u can block of sasuke's fire/lighning jutsu , taijutsu and genjutsu woudnt affect all pains because his not stupid enoth to go fight a uchiha and let all his bodys be visible.

well most of u guys are forgetting that naruto was also tierd and most of his chackra was used up during his training with the toads.
now about sasuke:
1st of all sasuke didint defeat itachi.itachi let him win
2nd sasuke wouldnt have defeated deadara without orochimaru's powers that he absorbed and the curse seal.lol so if he he didint have these 2 powers he wouldnt have defeated deadra lol and that means he cant defeat pien even with itachi's powers or itachi would have done that himself and saved konaho.
