Wrong, Madara only lost because of his arrogance, he didn't assume Hashirama would back stab him. But they were equal in power because they both ended the fight in based mode solely using their weapons.

Hashirama and Madara squared off more than once and hashi always solod.The only time foddera posed a threat was when he had the kyuubi and still got negged.Them returning to base doesn't mean anything as hashi only did so cause he was still trying to reason with madara.had he meant to kill madara from the start, he would have crushed him with true several hands after kurama was put to sleep.Plus The manga CLEARLY states, Madara himself said it like every second, that Lord Hashirama was superior!

Sighhh.... I wish NB would just come to terms and understand that no matter how hard Kishi contradicts himself or how many plot holes he has given, the manga is clearly and undisputedly based on the yin/yang principle of balance, like it or not, whether it makes sense to you or not, their equals.
Their was no balance with indra/ashura or madara/hashi, that why the conflict continued. Naruto/Sauske ended the conflict due to balanced equality being achieved.

Sage Mode/Kyuubi = MS

KCM/BSM = EMS

RSM+SO6P Yang Chakra = 6T Sharinnegan+SO6P Yin Chakra

Saskues opponents were not stronger deidera < hidan pain>itachi granted the fact that itachi wasn't trying to kill Saskue if he was he would've done it, than kabuto< tailed beast so let's not say Saskues opponents were stronger

Listen they are equal at this point cause that is the whole point of them both becoming strong to end the battle between Indra and Ashura. If it was about one being stronger then the other then naruto would have killed sasuke in the last fight or sasuke would have killed naruto. I'm a naruto fan nothing would have made me happier to see sasuke die at the hands of naruto in shippudden. But adult sasuke isn't like he was as a teen they have fixed they beef. So as gaiden goes I see them as equal even in the boruto movie they were equal. Naruto got the upper hand in that fight cause sasuke forgot for a split second he didn't have his left hand and boss ****ed him up. So truthfully kishimoto made sure he made them equal. And for those saying sasuke was dumb down on power to make them equal you guys are wrong. He is going through the same thing nagato and madara went through as well. Having rinn eyes takes time to master. You can't compare sasuke to the real so6p ability to master it.

Pretty much. I would be fine with it, if naruto didn't have superior techniques but either fails to use them or they stalemate. For example, not using wind style rasengan (rarely used, only once when making RS ). Either way many things are forced so it doesn't really matter

Naruto is stronger than Sasuke, not to mention Naruto has accomplished far more than Sasuke and actually sees his family every once in a while, so yeah, in power, accomplishments and family life, he's better than Sasuke.

Naruto and Sasuke have rarely stayed equal for long. In the Kaguya Battle Naruto was superior but Sasuke held back. In VOTE2 Sasuke equalled a heavily weakened and exhausted Naruto, though Sasuke had always more than made up for the gap in sheer power with sheer skill, and Naruto was able to use his power to far greater levels then he did in the Kaguya Battle. As of their current levels of power and as it stands now, Sasuke is the stronger of the two undoubtedly, not only has he gotten more skilled but he's closed the gap in power on his own even without the Bijuu, what held him back is the difference in their powers. Rinnegan gives great abilities but you don't know everything it can do from the get go, RSM gives you unfathomable knowledge that allows you to understand what you have better (though Naruto still needed to get used to it, he obviously had an easier power-up). This bridged the "gap" between the two that has now been turned on its head.

Naruto was stronger in VOTE 2, Sasuke had to use the 8.5 bijuus to equal Naruto's power and yet Naruto prevailed over him with just 0.5 Kurama and no killing intent. Now Sasuke do not have the bijuus anymore but has mastered his rinnegan and gained some new powers in the process plus he has seen some fighting in his 10 years he's been out of the village and Naruto got the full Kurama and mastered his powers completely along with his RSM before becoming the Hokage.
Sure Naruto is busy with all his duties, but people should not forget that Naruto can gain a wealth of knowledge at once when he trains with his 1000 shadow clones and I think Naruto has been doing that while the real Naruto manages the Hokage duties and his family.
So Naruto is still greater than Rinnegan Sasuke. Naruto has full Kurama now which he has mastered completely and Sasuke has mastered his rinnegan but he doesn't have the bijuus to equal with Naruto's power. So Naruto would stomp Sasuke anyday if he chooses to. But we all know that'll never happen.
