He's on the process of redeeming himself, but still, he's a criminal. And I just love how people say
"Pfft, he only killed some samurai fodder." In real life, any of the people that just said that would also
be just normal fodder, so I guess that means if a guy just goes up and kills you guys, he's not a criminal.

that tentacle was enough to revive the juubi. so technically he was a major help.

Yes he's a criminal but what he's done isn't so bad that he absolutely should be punished.The Akatsuki would of went after Bee regardless of if he "joined" or not and if he hadn't Joined then they most likely would have gotten Bee completely and the War would of started inorder to get just Naruto,and with Tobi getting the Jar that had Kinkaku and Ginkaku's Kyuubi chakra then the incomplete Juubi would have been summoned,resulting an even more deaths.

I was just kidding about the Texas part. No need to take it seriously.

As for the tentacle I'm pretty sure it was stated that the tentacle was enough to revive the juubi. I don't remember them taking part of eight tail's chakra during the fight prior to reviving the Juubi.
