Not quite. There may be a character who would lose to another, but have more speed, physical strength, or endurance, etc. Only rarely and specifically can it be applied

Nope.

Power only accounts for half of the story, but skill is just as important.

In general, no, as fight can be determined by compatibility. However, in DBZ, which is pretty much linear and straight-forward, so it is applicable there.(for instance, Goku's Ki>Freiza's, so he should have no issue for planet busting)

Powerscaling assumes alot, for example in your first link it assumes Goku is a planet buster because he defeated a planet buster but destructive capacity doesn't necessarily imply durability and we know DBZ characters are glass tanks(meaning they have way more power than they could tank themselves). However powerscaling does have its place because if we rely strictly to feats Frieza from Namek Saga is far more powerful than SSJ3 and according to the story we know this isn't true so powerscaling is needed to make an educated guess as to how powerful a character is.

Educated Guesses are facts because even in the manga in ROF Goku stated he and Vegeta COULDNT and WOULDNT survive a blast that busted 2 mini-planets if it directly hit them making it clear DC=/=Durability and it proves Vegeta didn't survive earths destruction within ROF.

3 people agreed its not reliable.

*sigh*
Goku beat frieza logic with goku being "Planet level"

Actually, that makes sense. Goku overpowered Vegeta's planet busting Gallic Gun with a Kamehameha and KaioKen4. Logically, that would mean his Kamehameha has the destructive potential to destroy a planet, especially later in DBZ where he's much stronger. He just doesn't blow up planets because he's a good guy.

This. Unlike DC/Marvel
ABC works fine with DBZ. hardly ever does a strong char lose to a weaker char without much assistance in this series. so Power is paramount.

Android 18 rekt SSJ Vegeta.....she broke his arm..."Planet durability" my a$$
Trunks in SSJ rekt frieza (cyborg) but couldn't really beat Goku? Inconsistencies (Fanboys gonna state he wasn't trying.....yet animation proves other wise.)
Whis being above Beerus in combat
Vegeta not surviving a planet explosion.....by Frieza when hitting the planet core.....

ABC logic doesn't work in DBZ at all.

Yet Vegeta never planet busted......making whatever he stated as hype.....
Even in filler Vegeta has and even in Filler goku was near the sun but didn't die?.....yet Broly did? Also he kamehameha it full power showing BS logic within DBZ hell Filler has better feats than canon and that's sad....goku needs help from others and people dont wanna admit this but its the truth....Power scaling isn't factual nor accurate because the series has to stay Constant.

Their power scaling was meant for destructive power and not body durability. Get your knowledge about this series right first.

ABC logic work well for this series

I thought we established long ago abc logic doesn't really work except in specifically crafted situations. I.E. Croc beat Luffy(the first few times not overall) Luffy beat Enel, but Croc can't beat Enel. A beat B, B beat C, but A can't beat C.

In Part 1 Kishimoto was VERY insistent on telling you the power scales of all the characters. He'd often throw it into the dialogue that Kabuto was the same level as Kakashi and Naruto/Sasuke were sometimes equals and stuck to terms like Sannin, Jonin, Hokage etc.

It was very transparent and he liked to tell you often. Naruto didn't carry on this route through Shippuden.
