Is Pokemon really childish?

Kind've, but I don't believe that's what throws people off of it. The games rock, but these new pokemon suck. They croweded such a huge world with what feels like fillers to me. Also, the show has gotten out of whack. I loved it up until like the Deoxus (Mis spelled I guess) part and just slowly went away. For the first half on TV, It was pure awesomeness.

I loved pokemon with a passion, but the show went too far. I hate the new voice over, it bothered me for some reason when I tried to watch it again, and the pokemon are past 150 now,...wft!?! The league after the original was good but after that it ended for our generation. But I still play the old skool games like version yellow (probably ma fave, besides the graphics) and silver (great one too but wasn't as challenging).

I loved the first season of pokemon because the pokemon was and looked awesome, but now the show and all the pokemon are gay. Now, i only watch pokemon when it comes on boomerang, and dats if im not watching south park or tosh.0

Naruto,Simpsons and Family Guy are childish too and we watch them ...
Sometimes I think its good to be childish because as was said child represent something innocent and try for a second to remember all the cartoons and anime you watched as a child and you will get great memories and forgot your "mature" problems and sorrows like where to get money,who to **** and like these, , ,
My personality is weird to some people they cald me childish too but I like to be a child perosonaly I hate to be mature cause except ***,friends and for some people alcohol and drugs, I dont take them (I'm abstinent) theres nothing good from be mature ... yes you have money but you need to work to get them something as a child you just have to take what your parents gave you.
And other call me mature and say how wise I am so opinions are different on "everything".
Well Pokemon is childish with its graphics and repeating plot, but what's bad about emotions ? Are emotionally based people gay ? So be straight mean to be murder and drug addict.
I'm thinking about watching some episodes again And I will see if I grown up a lot or I'm still somewhere between child and mature person.
Older you are the things you want are only: money,***,more money,better *** and ... well, where was I ? That's it ... only *** and money but no spiritual values we get from Naruto,Pokemon and others.

honestly if i had the money to keep up with the new games and handheld systems i would still be playing pokemon
plus all these gawd damn new pokemons, its f*cking impossible to "catch em all"

It is very childish, or at least they make it out to be.. I used to love pokemon when I was a little kid, but now I like more grown up orientated anime like Shippuden, bleach, fma, etc..
Pokemon is just another genre of entertainment. If you believe it's too childish, then you might as well think manga or anime is too childish. Anyone that still likes cartoons is just a person with a large and wide open mind of entertainment.
In fact many 18+ teens and young adults play card games since they like the pictures, the idea, the show/anime, and the ability to make their own type of story out of a deck of cards.
Many people above the age of 21 still watch anime because of their social presence. I mean the cartoons of today make no sense, not funny, and are seriously horrible compared to the cartoon shows and anime I saw when I was younger. So in this way I watch what kinds of shows in that part of time I like. Due to this I'll always have the enjoyment of a teen regardless of my age.
To be on topic, pokemon is indeed "childish" in nature due to how they shaped it to be. Every episode is about a young man traveling with friends to succeed at a goal they set for themselves in life. Just like every person in life is trying to succeed in something. They make a moral every episode or the show how life could be nice or crude. They even through in the random situations of bad guys, team rocket, regardless of how they fail/succeed.
You can put all those traits of pokemon in shows like dora the explorer, but in other shows like Eyeshield 21 they do the same thing. I'm even gunna say something like Ghost in the shell does that, but obviously the subtle messages are harder to see in some shows than others.

Well i played and watch Pokemon n i still do but i guess it depends of how into it you are, but that's my opinion

No nothing if you think it's not childish than don't care what other think, I live in Albania where everyone think of Naruto as childish and a dumb anime (there may be only tens of peoples who may like Naruto in the whole state where I live) still I don't care as long as I like it, it's okay for me.
