I have seriously been thinking of watching it, but the characters and story seem dumb from most of the glances I've taken of it. Although, even though I don't watch OP, I am madly in love with Zoro!! This is mainly why I'm thinking of watching it.

Cant believe there are people who ask this, yes it is !

Well, I find the manga better, but the anime is fine, not too many fillers, and the fillers are actually nice to watch.

OP is one of the best Manga out there, watching it or reading it is something I highly recommend.

Of course, it's the best! The only thing is, it only starts to get really good after about 60 episodes, at the Baroque Works arc. Episodes 1-60 are not bad, but they can't compete with the later episodes.

I would say no if you have the time to watch a shitload of episodes, and even in the manga is reaching almost to 1000 sum chapters. If you have the time go for it.

I've had a lot of people suggest it to me as well, about how great it was.

When I watched it I thought it was awful in every aspect, as well as the manga.

That's just my opinion though, you can only know if it's worth watching by checking it out for yourself.

Kizaru and shanks are cooler than ZoroU_U

OT: Yes you should. OP is in my top 5 Anime/manga. It's so epic and amazing, you fall in love with it by the alabasta are and it'll become you favorite manga by the water 7/Ennies Lobby arc.

It sure is. For me personallt, the manga is better. The anime gets kinda slippy sometimes, but Oda draws really well and his art gets better, way better, as the manga goes on. Just try to remember that the story has a lot of build-up, so it starts of slow but then come Alabasta, it blows up into what it's supposed to be. Not saying the early eps are bad, but they don't really compare to later eps at all, except for some elements in Arlong Park.

You can skip the Davy Back(I think that's what it's called) Fight.

Shanks is debatable, Kizaru not really.

A few weeks ago I had the same decision to make
I started to watch it is just awesome for me
im now around episode 460 and it just keeps on getting better and better
but i highly recommend to you to skip the fillers
some might not even be half bad but if you ask me they make the whole thing tiring

Agreed, One piece is dragged on for so long that it's notworth reading and watching. Other such manga is Dective Conan, which stated by the anthers in interviews should of ended long time ago, but wouldn't because of all the yen they're seeing milking the their series as long as they fit.

Its worth watching dude, trust me i once was like you i taught one piece was shitty and dumb but it isn't, the first episodes are not really good but dont let that discourage you, its a wonderful manga/anime and in my opinion is way better than naruto especially in the story line, they shed light on smaller characters unlike naruto and the story line is very easy to understand though complex at times but noting a good manga read or anime watch wont fix, give it a try dude its awesome.

Yes ofc. I started watching it 4 months ago, and it's definitely worth watching, one of the greatest mangas of alltime.

OP doesn't "drag on" though. OP rarely ever feels like it's being expanded more than necessary
