lol, very much worthwhile. Better story, better fillers, better character development, stronger emotions, much more funnier than Naruto. The art is kinda boring and outdated though but that's the writer's style. Once you get to Water7 and Enies Lobby arc after crying, you wont wanna stop the series...lol

Dafuq kinda question is that? One piece is one of the best mangas ever. It has a slow start because when the manga started the mangakas didn't have much competition and they could take their time developing characters .
You must not drop it before you reach the end of baratie arc , that is where really awesome stuff starts happening. Also don't watch the anime , it' pretty dragged out , read the manag first then if you find it interesting then watch anime if you like.
