Is Naruto the reason Boruto series is bashed/hated?

Is the Naruto series the reason why people don’t like boruto?

Whenever something happens in boruto fans immediately compare it to naruto series.

“The chunin exam fights are more intense and longer”

“Boruto’s chunin exams are disappoiting compared to naruto’s”

“Fights used to take one episode in naruto . Boruto fights are short”

“Shizuma is a ripp-off of kisame, kisame is way better”

“Mist arc is a rippoff of Zabuza arc”

And many more comments i saw

Anyway the constant comparison between the 2 are making people not enjoy boruto for what it is.

Thoughts? Can people just focus on boruto and stop comparing everything that happens to naruto?

Yes it is and no we cant stop comparing those because its same manga placed in same universe with same characters and their kids who are now main focus.And compared to Naruto this one is complete failure.

Kinda reminds me of the old rumor about Gohan almost becoming the main character for Dragon Ball until Toriyama changed his mind because the fans liked Goku more. Boruto will always be compared to Naruto, it's unavoidable.

Boruto still got some problems even when you don't compare it to Naruto.

Naruto had rules, phases and a course, Boruto manga/anime lack that. It will always be compared to Naruro since it follows the same course(generally) you can't get away from that. Short of the new gen not being ninja, using chakra or jutsu that won't ever change.

Naruto wasn't all about Naruto even though it was his story. Naruto didn't call people prodigy, have them ass pulling, giving them power ups for the heck of it and have them beating elite villains just like that.

Boruto manga has everybody riding Boruto, Boruto anime has everybody riding Boruto or talking about him. It's all about Boruto nobody else is important and he's just a naruto knock off who wants to be Sasuke. What's worse is his goal isn't to become kage (Naruto) but to become Kage (Sasuke). In short if Boruto(character) didn't exist then we could have potential for a great story.

This is my summarised unbiased observation take it or leave it.

I don't know if people hated the SW prequels cus of the old trilogy.


Or if people dislike the Harry Potter spinoffs and sequels cus of the original.

Boruto's characters aren't involved very much and the powerups are insane, this series should build up it's characters , not give powerups like it is nothing.

Also the concept of a villian is not understood by Ikemoto and his crew. They think it's ok to bring in a villian and toss him out in 5 chapters. Boruto is terrible.

Not a rumor, that’s what happened. Although I liked the buu saga as is.
