Is Naruto older than everyone else?

In the first episode/chapter, they said and showed that naruto was the the worst ninja of the village and was still in ninja academy cause he couldn't graduate, but when Iruka gave him the headband that was when sasuke,sakura and everyone else became a genin...Now my point is, since naruto was still in the academy for more years than he should doesn't that make him older? (ex.a junior become's a senior after 5 years isn't he 5 year's older than he's classmates)

I dont know about the rest but I am sure sasuke and naruto are the same age.. when he meets his mom in the manga and she talks about when the ninetails was about to attack the villiage they showed us sasukes mom and she was about to give birth at that time naruto was in the stomach..

no he is the same age as sasuke remeber that when kushina was pregnat sasuke was a baby, also i think he was in the academy more years because he was a orphan and a better way to keep him busy was going to school early but its just a guess

Naruto had no purpose as an orphan so he likely entered the academy younger than many of the other students.

For some reason the Uchihas in particular went to the Academy late, Itachi went in at 6 and Sasuke at 12 or 13. I think it is because the Uchihas trained themselves and trained with their parents for so long.

I thought he had failed a few times before in the academy, and was graduating later than usual...but now we know he's the same age as Sasuke, and everyone else...

I know for sure that naruto and sasuke are the same age, there are SOOOO many chapter's devoted to the past that show them as baby's and younger kid's (like the scene where they look at each other on the dock on a sunset and smile) or when itachi was holding sasuke at the kyuubi attack, but yea i think its a fail from the author...nothing too important but you know when you just think about it it doesn't make sense

Sasuke went to the academy at 12? I thought he went to his first day around the Massacure. He went to something that day.

yea they went in at 13, naruto is actually 16, as well as, hinata, sasuke, sakura, lee, and ten ten. neji and shino and kiba are 17-18

True. Maybe Naruto started earlier in the Academy since he had nothing to do when he was young,since he was an orphan.

Anyway I am almost positive that Naruto is not 16 but instead 15 and a half, while Sasuke and the rest of his classmates are 16. Except for Lee Neji, and Ten-Ten who are a year older. And it makes perfect sense, Naruto went to the Academy earlier than his friends. You can go whenever you want to, I mean Kakashi went at 5.

And no Sasuke went to the Academy at 12. He went to lessons that day when Itachi killed the Uchihas. He was 7 then and went to the Academy at age 12. I don't know what he did in between.

Naruto only had to take graduation exam more times. It is offered more than once a year.
