yh but what would he do when something outside his equation came to get him, if he tried to get naruto with a shadow sewing, but then found out it was a shadow clone, narutos summons would put shikamaru on the back foot again, then sage mode would be the fatality skill of naruto.
as for kyuubi and that stuff, shikas finished.

u r saying this becoz u r just thinking of one move ahead...abt shikamaru it is said that his ability is to think abt 200 moves ahead and then select the best one among them..so i guess he might have had some kind of backup for the scenario u r talking abt....

yeh i agree, not that it was needed. Rasen shuriken was overkill, if kakuza was hit with that from the beginning i think it would have demolished all his hearts regardless.

It's like this: Kakashi is Michael Jordan and Naruto is Lebron James. Sure, LeBron James is stronger and well, better, but Michael won six rings and beat the pants off the best players he played.
Kakashi was a hero of the 3rd great ninja war and fought against all of the other countries. They know who he is because he beat them.
Naruto has beat Pain of the small Rain village.

Kakashi owned Zabuza twice, he would have killed him had Haku not interfered the first time, plus he had a handicap of having to protect Tazuna, Sasuke, and Naruto. It's a given that he had to protect Sakura. She's useless.
Second time, he used blood as a tactic to win, and fought the whole battle against Zabuza by himself. He took out both of his arms, and in the Naruto world, you NEED your arms.
The third time he ended up getting Zabuza sealed.....
Anyways, back on target. I think Naruto is a legend for defeating Pain, as Kiba even said that himself. However, his credentials are still not as great as Kakashi's. Kakashi still helped turn the tide of the 3rd Shinobi War in the favor of Konoha.
In Konoha, Naruto is more of a legend than Kakashi, I would guess his show of power vs. Pain being his biggest credential yet. Kakashi died against Pain. In the WORLD though, where the matters of Konoha do not matter, Kakashi would likely be the one.

I agree with you..kakashi hasn't got much jutsu...but remember he is the copy ninja..and what makes him good is that he is smart and he uses every jutsu he has got perfectly in time .:flaw:

Firstly you need to determine what the definition, scope, and characteristics of being a "legendary" ninja.one of the characteristics is the level of stamina,jutsu,skill and intelligent and etc. I think the "legendary" issue is more about being famous and well known among all ninja in the world, in this scope kakashi definitely was a famous and well known ninja because he had fought in numerous battle/mission before naruto born. In contrast naruto is a boy who just became genin and involved in a fewer mission compare to kakashi, so many other ninja in other villages don't recognize him, just recently he being acknowledge as jinchuuriki from leaf village.But naruto did defeated pein, kakuzu and many other criminals/ninja so in a scope of 16th years old boy its was a "legendary'.

Naruto is the second youngest jinchuuriki to have a bijuu. He's a distant relative of the senjuus. Hee MASTERED the shadow clone justsu. He met the 3rd,4th, and 5th hokage and changed all their lives. well, maybe not the 3rd's but STILL! He dueled all three sanin. And won 1/3 (against jiraiya sometime between naruto and naruto shippuden). He learned the rasengan early. Hes the son of the 4th, trained with the 4th's mentor, and trained with the 4th's succesor. He took down the master of assassins, Zabuza. He took on kimmimaro and still went on to fight an uchiha, sasuke. he would've won but bcuz he fought kimmimaro, he wasn't at his fullest. He made his own rasengans. oodama, solar, rainbow, twin kyuubi, kyuubi, rasenshuuriken, mini rasenshuuriken, multi, kyuubi enhanced, twsiter, perfect (the fourth movie), an sage oodama rasengan. He took on deidara, kakuzu (he defeated him), itachi(body double), kisame(both series), tobi(madara), zetsu(war), pain (4 paths(preta,animal,human, and deva)), and sasuke(considering he DID wear the cloak. He taught someone younger than him the rasengan and it was worth it bcuz he used it to take down the juugo path of pain. He also learned sage mode. trained with one of jiraiya's mentors,pa. He took control of the kyuubi, even though the kyuubi is the strongest bijuu. Even though his mom hel[ped, she was a part of him. so, he still did it, and bee did'nt help. he just told him what to do. He took on A and was the second person to dodge his full on complete attack. (p.s. sasuke took on a slower version.) even though A wanted to kill him, he didnt want to get caught by any traps bcuz he knew tht bee took on sasuke and "lost". He's the only one who can take on sasuke now bcuz of what itachi did, he either A) gave him mangekyou
B) Gave him sumthin to protect himself from sasuke's mangekyou.
C) He stored some of his chakra into naruto so when they bump fists, sasuke can look into naruto's heart itachi can tell sasuke why he did what he did to clear what madara told him knowing tht madara told him it bcuz hes tht type of person. He's believed to be the savior from jiraiya, the 4th, kushina, the 5th, and of course, konan and nagato. He also let out all 9 tails and still survived, including the fact tht his dad helped him and tht he was against chibaku tensei. he took down the strongest path with a normal rasengan. he took on another incomplete kyuubi jinchuuriki. and also, he saved almost every1 in his village from pain even though the village was destroyed one second earlier than he arrived. and why didn't ma get blown away by the full powered shinra tensei. ps.s. it would be funny if pain did an ultimate basho Tenin(universal pull) in stead of an ultimate shinra tensei.
