Just thought I would point out that kabuto hasn't 'mastered' sage mode any further than jman. He still shows animal like characteristics like jiraiya did. The difference is that kabuto's mode has horns while Jiraiya's gave him warts and a bigger nose.

I mention that but people just seem to miss the little detail that kish put in the chapters. Like how kabuto of nature is on his side in the beginning of the chapter several times before he went sage mode.

It is sort of ridiculous how we find out about power-ups right before, but we had no clue about it up until that point. Kabuto being the non-combat medic-nin he is, it was almost entirely unexpected that he'd have mastered Sage Mode, as well as discovered a realm that Orochimaru himself couldn't enter (not to mention train in). The absurdity of this situation Itachi and Sasuke had inadvertently placed themselves in is what makes Kishi's whole manga seem ridiculous. It makes past powerful characters look worthless and it blurs the known current power levels to unknown degrees. I'm honestly unsure as to who is more powerful Kabuto, Madara or SO6P? It's someone new everyday, practically.

Yet, it doesn't quite ruin the entire set-up, as Kishi is still capable of surprising us with something that will turn the manga around. I doubt he would take it so far, only to ruin it. That's Kubo's job.

but he got some point you have to admit that. there is so much random power up it's a bit boring. and I'm not talking about the recent chapters, but overall the whole anime/manga.

what I don't get why it has to become like dragon ball? in the beginning it was all about ninjas, but now it's only about who can destroy a mountain or an island.

i agree Naruto is the only person to truly master a sage mode without developing animalistic features. plus with a lot of these characters that are getting huge power-ups, we either haven't seen them b4 or we haven't seen in a while.

cant agree with you... i think it has gone even better... i think kishi improved lol. im acutally looking forward to naruto every week now.. compared to other arcs.

Uh no, people need to stop nitpicking. It's a fight fest? It's a shonen manga-that's kind of the thing, plus we're in a war arc and I'm very entertained and look forward to every wednesday. When there aren't fights people complain the manga is getting dull, when there is nothing new being introduced people complain it's stale, when kishi shows new stuff people complain he's pulling out to much new stuff. Quit whining.

Exactly my point. That isn't to say I don't enjoy the manga, because I do (Finally, the war is getting a LOT more interesting than when it first started) but the power-ups have become annoyingly predictable as of late. And not only that, I feel that the plot has strayed. I'm honestly unsure what Naruto is about anymore. I know what Naruto (the character) is determined to do, as well as Tobi, Sasuke, Itachi, but I don't know the main theme. Power? Frienemies? What?
