I guess it depends on your definition of 'physical speed'. If you mean, using your body and running, without ANY sort of jutsu, then I would guess that A is the fastest, maybe Guy or Lee afterwards, as we all saw how fast Lee moved in Part one during his fight with Gaara after he took some weights off. And this is now Part 2, after lots more training. So if you're talking about speed without aid by jutsu, then A or Guy/Lee. However, if you're using a jutsu, it also depends on your definition of 'physical'. Does teleportation count as a 'physical' speed? If that is the case, then I would say that Minato is the fastest, as the Flying Thunder God technique is an instantaneous movement, and he can use it without even making a hand seal, taking no time for him to travel to these points 'A and Z'. However, if you were to say 'physical' movement discounted teleportation, then no. Minato is no where close to the fastest. In that case, it would be Naruto in the Nine Tails Chakra Mode, as seen in chapter 544, he was able to match the Raikage's speed.

But, as I've stated, this arguments weakness lies in the difference of opinions to the word 'Physical', and what jutsus it discounts. I myself would say teleportation is not a physical form of transportation, so Naruto at the moment is the fastest in the series. However, that judgement is dependent on my definition of 'physical'. If 'physical' movement were to actually include teleportation, then obviously Minato would still be the fastest.

Tech barred it would be guy/lee or Ay. with techs its minato. minato also holds the fastest reaction time having never been hit by Ay.

Why do people create such threads. The author of the manga acknowledges s/t as speed, thats all that we need to know to state he is the fastest. Who are you to decline what the author of the manga categorises as speed.

However he got his nickname for hiraishin and NOT his base speed, there are many other exceptions i can upload in the manga, however the DB entry for the jutsu itself weighs heavier. Looks like people don't understand why yellow flash was given to him due to hiraishin. The reason is becaue he appears then disappears, then reappears, then disappears. Continuously doing this will form flashes of him

2. Minato
3. Itachi
4. Ai
5. Gai/Sasuke

If you define base speed as pure speed and no jutsu enhancement then its:
1. Gai
2. Lee
3. Ssauke

I've never supported Minato in a discussion aside from this one.
I also said BM Naruto was just as fast and that others were physically quicker.

You just have different criteria for speed, as opposed to Kishi and his shinobi.
Ultimately, you can't make excuses for what Kishi said.

This. I guess Minato was really fast without the flying thunder god technique too. Jiraiya was fast, and Minato was his pupil, Naruto was Jiraiya's pupil too and he's extremely fast. My answer is, yes he's really fast, even without thunder god technique.

How u define Base Speed .. first tell me that .. Running ?


If u take a technique and a tailed beast separately then its okay ... but tell me whats "Base Speed" first !

1. Naruto - Not even fast without Kyubii cloak , KM or Bijuuu mode ... SM is not count as fastest ... so Narutos Base Speed (according to ur logic ) is low .

2. Raikage A ... is fast ..But then again its becoz his Lightning armour ... But hes fast than any one else cause he able to keep up with KM naruto without armor ...but not fastest as his fastest speed comes from Lightning armor.

3. Lee ... Natural fast ..but then again his Fastest Speed comes from Gates ... Same for Guy ..they are fastest when they use Higher gates ...

So first decide what u mean by the term Base Speed ... if u want to know ..their running speed .. then am afraid ... u have to arrange a sprint race for them

Minato is the fastest:
That speed he used to catch Naruto was his base speed without ftg.
He later use ftg to teleport out to avoid blast.
So yes physically, his base speed is faster.

It's stupid to question why Minato uses FTG all the time when he is supposedly fastest base too..
One always uses the easiest and most risk-less technique in his arsena...
When Minato can easily use FTG, why would he blitz...??

And over time in manga, Naruto's KM and BM speed is equally compared to Minato's speed...
Yamato confirmed that Minato was better at using blitz than Naruto right after his KM activation...
Tsunade complimented on Naruto's speed to be yellowflash when she had seen FTG and FTG flickers not dash here and there...
A commented that he was the fastest shinobi before him when he had faced his FTG as well as his base speed and I really doubt he was mentioning FTG...
Kakashi is the biggest evidence, he has been on Minato's team for long, he has seen FTG and still he misunderstood Naruto as Minato in his BM blitz...

You are directly contradicting with manga... Manga states several times that Minato was a speed demon who was hailed as the fastest shinobi to ever live...
Even Obito's kamui is considerable fast as Obito took Sasuke out of the dust cube of Onoki just like FTG would have done...
But still Minato's the fastest...

minato is the fastest shinobi. his reaction time was so great he could escape A in his full power punch. FTG is how he dodged it, but i think even without it he could. and Him throwing kunai everyone is just one of his techniques which utilizes the FTG, just like naruto has a whole bunch of rasengans. But as for his base speed i also think he is the fastest. when Obito attacked the village and took naruto, without FTG he got naruto from obito, before naruto could be stabbed. i think minato was the fastest and his will remain the fastest for me just because i think thats what kishi would of wanted.. you know?

as someone has said before minato gets from A to B faster than anyone else people count his reactions which are godlike aswell as speed, u have many different variations of speed... in fact i dont think the manga meant to say that minato was physically faster than A but he could simply attack faster and dodge thanks to his reactions and FTG this still counts as speed

i must also mention that even minato in base speed was very quick he would still be top 10 in speed
