Is Minato even fast?

As I said before, I know it was stated in the manga. However if Tenten was said to be "the strongest kekkei genkai user in the whole ninja world" you'd want answers. Can she even use kekkei genkai? Why has she been hiding her strength? etc. I'm just question WHY Minato is considered the "fastest"

Why is Minato considered the fastest? the 2nd fastest ninja in the Narutoverse said that nobody would be able to touch him, and yes to answer you're question is Minato even fast, yes he is.

After reading this thread, not only did I laugh at how mad can people become over Manga discussions, and greet my teeth at how annoying can fanboys be. I can understand many of the reasons the person creating this thread had to do so, and I also kindly request him to read my opinion.

I've seen you have all assumed that Minato's Hiraishin is a teleporting technique. I agree to that much remembering when he removed the explosive tags from Naruto as a baby and then warped to somewhere else where he had a kunai. But right now I have something in mind that rises many questions. Would there be any difference between the time Minato warps between A and B USING A KUNAI, and the time Minato warps between A and B USING A MARK?

My point is, when he uses Kunai we have seen that he moves through Space and Time, but as for the mark... Is it really moving through space and time? If it is, then why was he called the Yellow Flash? Once you teleport yourself, there's nothing to see. No light, no nothing. You're there one moment and gone the next. But in Kakashi Gaiden, which is the first moment we see Minato using a mark, he doesn't seem to move through space and time... People could notice, albeit barely, that he had MOVED (not warped) very fast, and the only thing that could be seen was his blonde hair, hence his nickname. Makes sense?


So, yeah. Minato IS fast. Not only because of his reflexes, and his reactions, but also simply because he MOVES fast.

weather Minato is the fastest shinobi or not(based on physical speed) we haven't seen much of him to actually draw a conclusion all we can do is speculate theories, still it is noticeable he has quick reflexes like many have said in the example when he rescues baby Naruto from Obito. also you shouldn't try to apply physics to a fictional world and character since its just not possible example some characters in some occasions have gotten in instances where they should of died in an instant but they didn't because its a fictional world in which physic don't always(most of the time or never) apply.

People, people...... at some point you just have to accept what the writer says. You dont need to over-think it. Its a fictional world where your everyday rules dont apply. Minato is the fastest....PERIOD!!! When you start trying to relate it to the real world in terms of base speed the fact that all they do is impossible makes the whole thing null and void. People dont summon animals, get curse marks, have tailed beast and such. Minato is fast, FTG aside his reaction time is proof. When he fought A, he dodged A's punch in an instant. Quick relexes, its not just having FTG but being able to use it immediately, its not like obito who seems to avoid damage without thinking about it (debatable), Minato has to decide to use it, activate it and figure out the best place to move to. Every ninja uses the tools they have to their advantage. Minato is the fastest ninja.

Even Minato doesn't have a reaction speed that fast but Karin's weaknes is the same as Amaterasu. Sasuke has to physically see where you are. Sasuke had a difficult time in seeing A's movements I dought he could see Minato's seeing as he's faster and has the FTG. The second Sasuke's arm comes down I'd think he's smart enough to move.

base speed, minato is quicker than anyone except A if im correct but base speed combine with FTG minato will smoke A in a heart bit and not only that kill him just like sasuke with your theory, manito will doge kirin and in the progress kill sasuke, if sasuke decides to perform that technic on minato which that takes a time to do so. IDk Why do people take out FTG like its not part of who he is just like raikage if he dont uses the lightning armor thingy he wouldnt be as fast at minato base speed probobly or less. For example you take the sharigan away from sasuke that will make him less powerfull but first of all why take hes sharigan away tho? thats my point, its odvious.... So thats why all those theorys talking about naruto withough kurama would dye against sasuke ect... are not valid to me

ALso people please explain to me by what the **** you mean by base speed. if minatos teleportation isnt his "base speed" the the raikages lighting armour isnt his "base speed" and rock lees and guys gates arent their "base speed"

No, he is saying that Body Flicker is NOT a space-time jutsu and is therefore nowhere near Minato's level of speed.

Minato doesn't need the kunai to use the technique but he can use them as points to jump to the kunai also increase the techs effective range as well as strategically it makes sense. He is definitely blazing fast.his tech is like gokus instant transmission to transcend time and space you have to break down

yes bc minato is can get the job done quicker than anybody but the storyline of naruto basically is the newest generation typically grows stronger than the last so naruto might gain enough strength to become faster than his farther but as of right now i think minato is the fastest

Now before goes crazy I'd like to propose the fact that the flying thunder god technique is a time space jutsu, a way to summon yourself to wherever your seal is. So my question is why people like A and minato fanboys call him the physically fastest ever. Minato never ran anywhere in a flash, he kinda teleported. Which is the reason he has to do this :

Go see chapter 501 when tobi throw naruto up and minato catch him. He is also very fast without ftg.
