If he was able to come up with Crocodile's weakness or how he produced Gear Second (and actually understood what was going on while doing it), it means he's not a retard. That's why he acts uninterested towards the rest.

Naruto, maybe, but not post-timeskip onwards. Luffy' definitely not. Just look at how he befriends everyone in seconds. Ace is the best example of this (and later Sabo) on the past arc after Marineford. Get your facts straight.
