OK, lets sum up about konohamaru-

Konohamaru is doin rasengan(A pretty lame one, must say!-Or, maybe the rasengan is just dense inside),
he's mini rasen defeats pain(FTW)
Ebisu couldn't, kono could.

so like alot of you have said - is kishi on crack? (!!!!!)
well i say, we have all fell down to kishi's scam, and in the next chapter, we are all goin to be like WTF

Well, why?
because maybe pein has put konohamaru in a genjutsu, and what we see is an illusion.
Or maybe pein pretended that he got the hit, so he could re attack.
(maybe lay on floor, kono and ebisu r shocked -BAM- attack, or gets the hit and then gives to kono a hit right back)

Maybe there's some other option i haven't put in, SO ILL WELCOME ANY THEORY, ITS VERY IMPORTANT TO SAY EVERYTHING ON YOUR MIND so we can all enjoy this thread, and maybe become the most genius forum.

well we havent seen konohamaru so far in action.. maybe he's trained himself a lot and did got strong.. if he can handle the rasengan then he sure has potentional in himself.. and besides that hes the grandson of sandaime ..

why put kono in genjutsu?

Pain is a powerhouse, why should he use special tactics aganst a genin that quite frankly i consider at best, a side chracter extra.

This pain didnt get damaged or killed by jounin and ANBU, yet he wants to strategise for no real reason against a genin?

If its genjutsu, why?

Its like a heavyweight boxer using as much skill as he can to punch a baby, why bother? Its not as if it can attack back.

Why use strategy when it simply isnt needed? it would just be using genjutsu for the sake of using genjutsu, really weak.


The same goes for pain lying on the floor, why humour a child in battle for the sake of humouring? we know pains personality is simply not like this, i see him owning kono while saying "feel pain" with a gourmless face, not playing all these mind games.

Mind games are good for story and for us to go "aha!" when the mind games make sense, if there were two skilled ninja, strategies and secret moves are decent to read, strategies made against a nobody, and then a secret move coming out of a genins ass, are NOT DECENT TO READ.

i think the whole Genjutsu theory is a bit far-fetched.

But who knows? Kishi might surprise us...
