Thats fine but I think an inference based on statistical data is more reliable than personal anecdotes. I would disagree with you on there being that much of a difference between the western world and Japan, at this point in time, Japan is a modern technological nation which has acculturated the modern ways of the western world. Manga and anime itself are evidence that there is not much of a difference between our cultures, I mean Ive seen media from other cultures and wherever cultural differences are prominent, they are indeed palpable but I dont really see most manga/anime as being foreign.
You provide no evidence for the death threats thing, if it is a rumour then you should not state it as if it were fact.
Yes, but you see, in Japan Sakura is not hated. He was indeed intrigued by some western Hinata fans/NH fans who sent him some letters threatening him that they'll kill him if they doesn't do NH cannon and makes Hinata more important and his response was "You always say Hinata, Hinata. I say she's not Hinata!!"
And the thing with Hinata now, in recent chapters, it's just closing character development as well as, being the first one who has her 'dreams' accomplished. She was first, Sakura is going to be last.
Look at 573 (Pathway towards Radiance) and their order.
