Crazier than Beliebers and Directioners ....

I know, which is quite sad, actually. I, for example, I am a Hinata fan myself. The reason I don't expose myself is because I don't want to get mixed with her fandom. My experiences are not quite positive with her fandom and that's why I keep a low profile.
What I feel sorry for, is for the fact that those so-called fans, usually called her a stalker before the huge moment of the confession. Then, they turned 180 and say they love Hinata... Wait a minute? What about Hinata before that? Hinata isn't there just to be a pairing fodder for God's sake. She has her own personality, her own goals to reach, she's not there for you just to use as a pair for Naruto or Sakura hate tool.
She is an individual. I've seen posts such as, I don't care about Hinata as long as she ends up with Naruto. This being stated in a NS vs NH conversation. To me, that is disappointing. What about other things that Hinata has to accomplish? Like being the heiress of the Hyuga, becoming more stronger, this happening not at Naruto's cost. What about her growing as an individual person who doesn't need to depend on a man?
That's Hinata for me. Not just a pairing fodder, like others call her.
Like Hinata for what she is, not at Sakura's cost or Naruto's cost.

Thats fine but I think an inference based on statistical data is more reliable than personal anecdotes. I would disagree with you on there being that much of a difference between the western world and Japan, at this point in time, Japan is a modern technological nation which has acculturated the modern ways of the western world. Manga and anime itself are evidence that there is not much of a difference between our cultures, I mean Ive seen media from other cultures and wherever cultural differences are prominent, they are indeed palpable but I dont really see most manga/anime as being foreign.

You provide no evidence for the death threats thing, if it is a rumour then you should not state it as if it were fact.

Well, to each his own. And comparing technology with culture and tradition, is a different thing. We all have cell-phones, but not all of us have the same tradition.
See, if that would be the case, that we are not quite different, than the westerners should frankly understand what "tsundere" means to Japanese culture, yet, the majority doesn't know about it and even if they know about it, they don't care, they consider their view is better than what the author wants to convey.
So I think this pretty small example talks volume.
As for the threat thing, I said myself that I don't know how true it was and this is what has been talked on other forums. I didn't stated it as a fact. My apologies if indeed, seemed like.
However, that part with "She's not Hinata" is true.
You can find it on your own.

Yes, but you see, in Japan Sakura is not hated. He was indeed intrigued by some western Hinata fans/NH fans who sent him some letters threatening him that they'll kill him if they doesn't do NH cannon and makes Hinata more important and his response was "You always say Hinata, Hinata. I say she's not Hinata!!"

And the thing with Hinata now, in recent chapters, it's just closing character development as well as, being the first one who has her 'dreams' accomplished. She was first, Sakura is going to be last.
Look at 573 (Pathway towards Radiance) and their order.

This . And sakura is very loved in japan she have haters yeah but mostly because shippers westren naruhina fans

He already said you say hinata hinata but its not hinata and i am gonna make sakura more heroine from now on

He gave hinata shine moment and you make it like he made her the the main character

I find it hard to believe he'd do something like that.
