Hi, just wanna share my XP. I think Kakashi is qualified to be a Kage but I don't think he can beat the present 5 KAGEs. Maybe Tsunade is that simple but she too might have got something under her sleeve. Her special jutsu assures her to never die and get injured in a battle(though it also has limitations just like other Ninja Arts). And yet she could never have been a HOKAGE if she does not have an extreme power.Remember, she protected the entire Konoha from Pain using her Chakra. Eventhough Kakashi is powerful yet he also has limits, he could not even use the full power of his Sharingan because he does not possess the Uchiha bloodline. I like Kakashi, I have nothing against him, I am just sharing my point of views. Gaara may have been beaten before but that was their young time and he also had gotten stronger. thanks.

I think Kakashi has the guts and wit as one of the criteria to become a hokage. Kakashi has also amazing techniques during his different battles. But when we talk about Pure Strength in battle i dont think Kakashi can beat one of the Kage.

Not trying to flame, but you called him a mid range ninja, but then mentioned his wide variety of jutsus. Doesn't this condradict? Kakashi has over 1000 jutsus in his arsenal because of his copying abilities from his sharingan. Kakashi has plenty of ranged attacks, including his Kamui.

I respect your point of views, but let us reason here, kamui's ranged is not as long as gara's sand techniques, that's a fact , remember kamui hole is small, so the further away the oponent the harder it is to connect, making it less accurate, another fact. while gara sand techniques are long and wide which makes the possibility of connecting way higher than kamui. the few times we saw kakashi use kamui his limited was like 2 or 3, while gara's sand is infinite we saw that in the fight against kimimaro when turn dirt into sand. So you know if he misses with kamui, that goes to the advantage of gara and disadvantage of kakashi because we all know kamui is a big double edge sword. A 1000 jitsu means nothing if you can't use 5, due to your low level of chakra.

Kakashi is good, but he just doesn't fight well against long range ninja we all saw how he struggled against kakuzu and deidara due to their long range fighting techniques.

Maybe he can beat Gaara, but I really doubt he can beat the Tsuchikage, i mean he is very old and experiences, he can fly and has jutsu that cannot be copied by the sharingan of Kakashi, and without that, it can really be a problem!

Kakashi is definetly Kage material and he has been for a while now.
Kakashi is not lazy at all its just being Hokage is not his ambition.

As far as Kakashi vs 5 Kages i think Kakashi would fare well with any of them along with anybody else in the Manga.

Kakashi vs Tsunade= Kakashi just because he outclasses her in strategy and he would finish her with a Chidori because she has no counter to it and she is not fast enough to evade it.

Kakashi vs Gaara= Kakashi(IMO) because Kakashis Lightning blade would go straight through Gaara's sand defenses.And Kakashi could use his speed and stealth to get behind Gaara and Gaara would not be fast enough to turn around and react to him and Kakashi would finish him off.But if Gaara took to the sky it would be up to Kakashi using Kamui to finish him since Gaara would most likely just be sitting in his ball up there or floating on a small sand cloud.

Kakashi vs Tsuchikage= Kakashi, simply because the tsuchikage lacks youth and good health and he is too irrational. Just because he has a Kekkei Tota(Bloodline Expansion) does not make him invincible. Tsuchikage's big dust element attacks would be to big and slow and Kakashi would surely have more than enough time to dodge and counterattack and kill that little old man.

Kakashi vs Mei Terumi(Mizukage)= 60% Kakashi for the win 40% Mei for the win because she has two Bloodline Limits(Boil Release,Lava Release) which are both very lethal techniques and she is very adept at using them. Mei is also very agile and smart as well but plays a bit to much. The downside to her techniques is that she has to have her enemy in a sealed off area in order for her techniques to work to their fullest. If they fought in a building or lair of some sort I would have to give this to Mei but if they fought outside I give it to Kakashi. Since the outside is most likely where a battle will occur I have to say Kakashi has this but it would still be an amazing fight.

Kakashi vs A(Raikage)= Super Iffy as much as I like Kakashi it would be his most difficult battle yet because the physical damage that would be done to him in hat battle would be epic and maybe fatal. Kakashi would have to use Kamui as soon as the fight starts to kill him which he would not do. Kakashi's speed is outclassed in this battle because of Raikages Raiton Cloak enhanced speed. He also does not have the strength to trade blows with Raikage. But Raikage is reckless and dumb I guess and he would probably run right into one of Kakashi's Lightning Blades thinking he can eat it and get killed. Unless Kakashi can copy Raikage's Raiton cloak with his sharingan to even the speed deficate I see Kakashi getting punched around and slammed on his neck by Raikage and ultimately killed.

So IMO Kakashi can hold his own against any of the Kages past or present,im not saying he would defeat them all but he would not get defeated so easily. That goes for anybody in the Narutoverse as well, Kakashi is troublesome to anybody on the opposing side.

haven't read the whole thread but going to reply to the OP

yes hes kage material, but he wouldn't easily beat any of the other current kages (i just finished watching the 2nd part of the new anime ep where they show Tkage and mei's jutsus, i thought dust release was totally ****ed up by the anime but cool in the way they made it too) hes not stronger or faster then raikage in his lighting armor (unless you think kakashi thinks and moves faster then minato) sasuke has the same abilites that make kakashi feared and way more (instead of kamui he has susanoo,amaterasu and a weak tsukiyomi) sharingan can't keep up with A's body flicker and sasuke's chidori could barely scratch him thru his lighting armor idk how much more raikiri could do.

Oonoki can fly and use dust release (assuming the one in the manga not the weird molecule disembler thing in the anime) he could blow up wherever they were fighting, seemed like that cone thing he was going to use on deidara was strong enough to destroy the big turtle island (said by his big goofy bodyguard). his back and age would be the massiver turning point since kakashi is young fast and has sharingan he might be able to hit oonoki with genjutsu when hes preping a dust attack and kamui or chidori him (assuming hes not way way up in the air while hes doing it)

Mei has lava and acid mist that could keep kakashi on the D and away from her above ground, but he could go underground and attack her from behind with a chidori (maybe use a clone to distract her above ground till he strikes) it could go either way to me since we don't know her full power.

gaara's defence was only passed by when he was much younger and a genin and a tailed host, idk if his sand has gotten any different since losing shikaku, but kakashi can use atleast the first gate which as kids was enough for lee to get by the sand, might let kakashi get by long enough for a chidori or kamui to srsly wound or kill gaara.

he'd wipe the floor with tsunade imo, i know hes not a real kage but since he was at the summit, with danzo he'd either have to fight with low chakra cost moves, but aggresive enough to keep him using his izanagi till its out or don't let him activate it in the first place.

kakashi could technicly beat anyone but madara and zetsu with a kamui to the head if he was fast enough with it and they didn't have something to passby death like izanagi or space/time

People like Kabuto is out there that are equally as smart but also have power. Shikamaru go againg softies. Like the girl most likely he will hook up with in the future and one trick ponies and weaklings.

Hey every1, um i just wanted say 1 thing so i created an account. I like both Gaara n kakashi, but i dnt like how peopl make gaara out 2 be weak, Gaara couldve beaten deidara if he wasnt worried about his whack ass vilage, and 1 more thing, if u notice gaara fights with more confidence now, even after he lost his bijuu, at the kage summit he was ready 2 fight sasuke knowin how much of a threat sasuke became.

So Gaara vs kakashi, idk who would win becuz i can 100% bet that gaara has some new shit 2 show u guys.

p.s. i just love his "dnt give a damn, ready 2 go fighting style" lol

Kakashi is ready to become Hokage he could defeat in my opinion Tsunade, Gaara, and Mei. Raikage and the Tsuchikage have stronger jutsu but not the mental capabillity that Kakashi does I believe them to be on the same level.

i can't see him beating the riakage or any of the kage at this stage of the game but it would be an epic fight indeed.

gaara's sand nullifies lightening, puts out flames, cannot be coppied, can turn watter against it's user if combined with sand ( mud slides etc...) the only way i see i can see kakashi defeating garra is due to garra's lack of exp.

the old short kage can pick up rode island. nuff said.
