Considering what I have seen in Naruto, no wonder if Rikudu can be defeated by Tenten

he's badly underrated. he just hasn't been shown to have many feats, because in the sannin fight he was drugged and then he fought vs pain.

well, here is a summary of his known feats:
stopped 4-tails kyuubi from going on a rampage and reverted him back into naruto
completed the most s-rank and normal missions in the series- around 120 s-rank missions iirc. when you consider that for the vast majority of his life he was solo that's incredibly impressive
took out konan in seconds
blinded one pain with a kick, and defeated 3 of the pains. he also managed to flee the 6 pains which i wouldnt bet on many to do.

at any rate, he's got a lot of amazing jutsu. his swamp of the underworld and goemon would cause trouble to many ninja. his use of bunshin combined with toad shadow manipulation has fooled both konan and pain, and is a great counter for genjutsu, as well as getting an opening. his barrier techniques are also amazing, enabling him to drag opponents into them and withdraw from battle. plus, he doesnt take as long as is touted to enter sage mode, as he uses bunshin to do so. plus, he has his toads to back him up. he also is fairly skilled at sealing techniques, and with ma and pa in sm he gains a counter to genjutsu in addition to many other weapons.

imo he fully deserves his hype, he's itachi's equal imo. both have the same db score and kishi drew a number of parallels between them- their goal for peace, the people they died for, the manner and time in which they died, and their last act to strengthen their students. itachi just had the benefit of being shown to fight more ninja beneath him and none above him while he died, while jiraiya had his lone fight vs two of the akatsuki and one which had never been defeated. also, itachi defeating oro easily while jiraiya never could screws perceptions- itachi is mythologically destined to be orochimaru's weak point, while orochimaru is superior to jman by the snake>toad mechanism. it's a question of matchups ultimately.

well, I do wish we had seen more of J-man's fights. Itachi's apart from the Sasuke one were awfully short as well. I suppose it only ehnanced the reputation of the character to not have them show everything though. and if everyone fought equally there would be an awful lot of repetition, maybe it's better this way.

edit: jiraiya's sealing tags are very interesting as well, I wonder if they can be applied to anything else apart from jinchuuriki cloaks.

He was the strongest in the akatsaki does that make obito and itachi weak?
