It does have the restrictions of normal Genjutsu, and I am sure there are side effects, but Edo Itachi is immune. Perfect way for Itachi to get Kabuto to end Edo Tensei, he either continues in the loop or ends the Edo Tensei..Genius..

Izanagi is a Genjutsu cast on oneself. WHY did you think it's "pair" Izanami wouldn't be a genjutsu?!? Plus I damn near want to call the technique OP b/c of its pure Awesomeness.

a re-occuring loop is aggy that i can admit, but its dry. Usually whenever someone needed so much prep time we were blown away by the feats that followed, but this time it was OK. Now, given the situation its very useful, but other than that its blah, i prefer his other techniques.

A genjutsu that FORCES you to change your destiny? The closest one to it is KOTO. And idk how in the world that jutsu is better than this one.

yes, i understand the loops continue on to undo situations of past events. For me its wasnt a #BOOM factor, as i wasnt amazed.
that wasnt prep time....he was trapped in the genjutsu since itachi started it back in chap 580....the loop resets after his eye goes blind....itachi is that dude. im a senju/uzumaki fan boy and can honestly say he is one of the best shinobi on the show...he escaped edo tensei and stopped the caster of the jutsu.

i wouldnt say all that, he didnt escape (his own doing) and Kabuto hasn't been stopped yet.

Yeah izanami sucks it's just like a genjutsu just with a loop i dont know how it's related to izanagi.

we cant assume that just yet, ill say we can determine that by the next chapter but i dont see this being a problem for Kabuto
Since Izanagi is a genjutsu, it was clear that Izanami would also be a genjutsu. And I'm not sure if you've noticed but Itachi is a genjutsu special :sy:. It's obvious that his best technique would be a genjutsu.

And Itachi did state he was trying to capture Kabuto alive and release the Edo from his control, so really I don't understand what you were expecting other than a genjutsu.
We will find out more of this after if it has a counter and how it works than opinions can be heard, but I'm interested in knowing that how Kabuto got caught in it being immune to genjutsu that is.
