is Itachi the best written Naruto charachter

He is one of them. I think the best written characters are Naruto, Obito, Kakashi and Gaara ( and Kushina, although she has only a few appearances, but I think she would have been a great character). Also Sasuke and Nagato.

itachi started the fight by attacking kurenai and breaking through the barrier without permission as well as potentialy threatening people.

im not taking anything out of context. the manga consistently showed to me itachi is a selfish lazy idiotic psychopath who only does good when it seems like he can get away with it scot free, did nothing about major threats to his home, and committs utterly petty and sadistic crimes such as beating sasuke into a coma that second time, and torturing naruto.
i dont give a shit if itachis a trained ninja. nearly no trained ninjas use their powers for pointless torture.

as far as i know, most ninjas do seek to end fights quick. even obito. even nagato.
only hidan and itachi have shown to me to want to engage in brutal tortorous beatdowns designed to utterly BREAK their victims.

as far as i know, batman has never murdered or brutally tortured innocent people, commmitted mass genocide on his family, or betrayed and blackmailed his own people or declared war on the entire world by helping to murder 6 innocent people for the nukes that were inside them
