Is it weird that I talk differently than I write?

Huh, that's actually really an interesting way to look at it.

I haven't really researched the nature of speech, but I've mostly just thought about it.

What is speech? It is sharing an idea or an emotion? Perhaps both?

Art and music is a form of speech. Sometimes they can provide a more clear emotion than talking, but they lack detail in order to convey an idea properly. In that sense it is abstract.

It would be amazing if could just share our thoughts. I remember talking with someone about this subject(what would God's voice be like?)

Without going into a religious territory, if such a being exists, I imagine his voice not being a voice at all. It would be music, beautiful, but also clear. We would understand the thought perfectly with only intuition. When one sings notes to an original, it is mostly intuition that follows.

So I wonder if humans might evolve or develop a technology that would let us do that. I guess that's the point I was thinking about all along haha
That's cool you think that, because usually in Sci-fi type entertainment the advanced beings usually communicate without words, like telepathy etc.

While it might seem like that's a stretch I think if technology keeps advancing at the rate it is in maybe 50 years it could be possible to communicate through thoughts. People nowadays clearly like communicating through non verbal means before with words over the phone. Whether it's a text, message, skype, etc.

The only thing is if that happens I hope the art of speech doesn't dissolve. Singing, hearing a loved ones voice, learning a beautiful language, will all be things that a world without would become colder than it already is. The voice carries a certain depth to it that is needed I think.

I often trip over what I want to say, and when I speak on something I enjoy it turns into a fast paced rant that is hard to understand. Yeah, I type somewhat differently than how I speak. What you commented on, the fact that we do have more time to review what we want to say does make a difference.

Not to mention I occasionally try and fail at accents.

Well I think singing will always exist.

But when you think about, human's have a need to exercise their voice. That's why we find ourselves singing along or humming.

Even someone who is always quiet might want to talk for the sake of just talking and wanting to be heard. I can't really explain it, but I think it's just human nature.

But imagine if it's not just telepathically connecting, but like speaking clearly with a song. Something like singing a few notes that is understood as a thousand words clearly without having to speak them.

It would be like a new language, but also pleasant to hear.

Not at all man, I also have things that I can write perfectly but can't say out loud.

For example.

''I secretly sniff your clothes after P.E. while I jack off to all of the child pornography I obtained over the internet on my mobile device.''
And
''Lol noobtard''

I'm sure we all have these things, right?
