I like it, but not as a favorite or anything. It has action, comedy and a nice story, but it looks too childish, or more than anything girly. No one dies, and it doesn't look like someone will.
Though I do recomend it.

People have died. Frankly everyone who said that people didn't die, can be completely ignored as it was a clear yes or no question on which the 100% correct answer was: no it's not true as people have died.
You can start debating whether a lot of people who should have died, didn't die, but that's a different matter and that can be applied to a lot of mangas.

yes lucy's father is Dead same with her mother as well (about on her mother its skeptical because of the date of death and the dragon disappearance)

There are more deaths than in One Piece... people forget that most big shot dark guild members have died...

wtf? why would he do that? if he wants seeing death go and watch horror... posts like this really piss me off...
if anyone wants to read a manga which focuses on making the reader to have fun, this is in the top no matter who thinks what... posts like this really unnecessary.

Well, many people could have died but didn't...Hiro want to keep it light and fun story; though in case of character development, he did kill some characters:
Ur's death is a major part in the First Arc and is one of the most important character developement of Gray/Ultear/Lyon.
Similarly, Simon and the Old Rob's death was an important part in Erza's Tower of Heaven Arc and childhood respectively.
Lucy's dad was a nice touch to accentuate some feelings post-time-leap event.
Hiro also used some deaths to add some character-depth to Zodiac Spirits - namely Loke with Karen's death and Capricorn with Lucy's mom death.
He also killed most of Grimoire Hearts members - Zoldeo's death but mainly Zancrow and Hades. The last 2 death's helped in showing Zeref's immense dark power.
Overall, Hiro kills some characters only if it serves some purpose. Killing to show a character's perverse evil intent is definitely not his style. Even he's one of the most ardent preacher of fanservice, fanservice for gore & maniac lovers is simply almost a definite no-no!

yes ppl have died (Simon, Karen, Ul, Lucys dad, ...), no main characters though
the only one who really should have died (a LOT of times) is Makarov ... but hes awesome so im glad hes alive
