[Question] Is it really worth starting?

To people who say that the first 50 episodes are boring: Why did you watch 50 episodes of something you dont like??

One Piece has horrible art. The girls have very big boobs and thin waists, and some guys don't look human. Heck, some of them look like fish! Oda doesn't know how to draw, clearly.

One Piece is so slow! Why does Oda bother with other characters? Look at Kishimoto, he only focuses on certain characters because the other people are clearly fodder! Shirahoshi? Who's that? Sounds like fodder to me!

One Piece is boring! It doesn't have lasers early on, and the Gum Gum Fruit sounds really stupid. Who wants a rubber power when there are much cooler ones, like the Rasengan, Sharingan, or Yoosookei's Spirit Gun from Yu Yu Hakachu.

One Piece has so many plot holes! I mean, if One Piece treasure location is already known, why aren't the pirates going after it? It doesn't make sense! Also, the power levels suck. Why is a Vice-Admiral so far from Admiral Level? Why is a Shichibukai powerful when there are some people who aren't Shichibukai Level in there? DBZ sooo much better, they have scouters. Oda is useless, he introduces Douriki but doesn't use it.

One Piece is so predictable! Here's the formula: land at island, discover a problem, kick bad guy's ass, and leave! So boring you know! Unlike my mature anime Darker Than Black, Death Note, Green Blood, and Tower of God.

One Piece is for kids! It's so childish! Look at Luffy, he's supposed to be 19 but acts like an 8 year old! Also, nobody dies in One Piece! So childish! Look at Bleach! Ichigo's mom died in the early chapters! Look at Naruto! Has something in One Piece come close to Jiraiya and Itachi's deaths? No, they all pale in comparison! OP is a happy-go-lucky manga, not for mature people like us.

One Piece is so long! It has 707 chapters and counting! Shorter series are better! Look at Gurren Lagann, better epicness in 26 episodes! One Piece can't compare to that.

One Piece has the worst drawn girls ever. Hiro Mashima of Fairy Tail draws better. You're better off reading Fairy Tail, because the main character doesn't ignore the rules of his own universe and is always fired up! Fired up is better than "I wanna be Pirate King", so obnoxious.

You're most likely trolling, but this is true. The pacing is way too slow. Some things are dragged out too long. It's too slow for me and definitely not the best manga as some people say. There are some other things that I dislike, but what I just said is my major issue.

Also, you should read it, not watch it. Watching it takes way longer.

All who are saying that first fifty episodes are boring are mistaken. If you think its boring then read manga if you only watch anime. You will get to know that one piece >>> dragon ball. I started reading it an year ago. The first manga i read was one piece too. I read it because i found that it was the best selling manga on net. One piece was great in the beginning when it stil was freaking funny, now they have no clue what they are doing!!
The jokes arent that good anymore and the fillers are killing me, and the story progress is so damn slow!

If i watch 50 episodes i feel like i have learned nothing new at all, their story aint deep at all like naruto's story is, so i say no it is definitely not worth watching it, waste of time..

Like the time luffy went to that prison, and fought that gas guy, that took ages! and after that those stupid mermaids under water, i stopped watching the anime after that.

Im not trolling or bashing, i hoped this could be my replacement for naruto, but i think their will never be such a good anime on the level as naruto.

And dont even try talking about bleach, that blind guy turning in to a FLY??? and aizen becomming a butterfly?? geez so dissapointing and ZERO backstory or any deep stuff. no wonder the anime stopped and tokyo tv diddnt want them anymore lol

ur right but when i was watching i got bored around 150 times till i got to watch marineford arc everything is going so slow in anime cuz 1 anime=1 manga chapter and it can be very boring...

Seems a lil off the hook at first, but it really gets going couple of episodes later!
The thing I like most is discovering new devils fruits when you go true the episodes.
