Is it Overrated or Underrated? One Piece.

This is the fourth edition of this 'series' where I pick an anime and ask you guys whether you think the chosen anime is overrated or underrated (or neither). So, is One Piece overrated or underrated? And why do you think this way?

Personally, I can see the show being overrated or underrated, so I guess I'd say it's neither. On one hand, I've heard that One Piece is the greatest (which it's not). In contrast, I've heard people say that they don't like the show or don't want to watch the show because of its 'bad' animation or drawing. Honestly, I have to say that One Piece is the best anime of the Big 3 (OP, Naruto, and Bleach). However, I can see this anime being both overrated and underrated.

In my opinion, it's hype is perfect, other than those who say it's perfect. By the way, simply because you don't believe it's the best, that doesn't necessarily mean it isnt.

dude One piece a lot better than naruto, the only thing that makes naruto more interesting now was the kages,sasuke, madara and naruto.... on OP everyone could make you interested. you just dont understand it probably when you were a kid. your a nerd or something.

I enjoyed the handful of episodes I watched of it. It's too far into the manga for me to catch up quickly. I may read it in my retirement years. Only 48 years to go.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying OP is the best. I wouldn't know seeing as I don't actually watch anime, I just watch Naruto and OP. I'm just saying the topic of the best is too subjective and opinionated for us to truly know.

I think I'd say it's somewhat underrated. A lot of people I've recommended One Piece to have dropped it within the first few chapters because they don't like the art style or they find it boring. I personally think it's one of the best series around at the moment. xD

I've skipped the low amount of fillers this show has (a good thing). Besides those episodes, I've seen every episode up to the ones that come out weekly. So...yeah.

I think its both. A lot people say its the best and logically speaking it is considering it has the highest sales. Im not a fan of it.

That's 100% agreeable. I also haven't seen every anime out there. I think I've seen around 27-30 anime (just counted; 29, if you count, for example, Naruto and Naruto Shippuden as 1 series, not 2), and I just think that there are better ones than One Piece. That is totally subjective, though. I agree.

I consider it underrated in America....because when they first started airing the show it wasn't watched that much...I didn't watch it when they first showed it...I started watching it after they canceled it in the USA and my friend begged me to watch it and I got REALLY into it after that!!!

There's absolutely nothing wrong with liking other stuff more than OP, I just have an issue with when people say opinions like they're facts. It kinda makes me feel as though people who do that are full of themselves, which annoys me.
