Is it Overrated or Underrated? Bleach.

Last night, I made the first edition of this 'series' (I guess), asking you guys if you thought Naruto was overrated or underrated. Today, I'm asking you about Bleach. Do you think it's overrated or underrated?

Personally, I think Bleach is a bit underrated. Lots of people (and I mean lots) quit following the show after the Soul Society Arc and after the Fullbringer Arc (understandable; Fullbringer sucked). However, the current arc in Bleach is quite good, in my opinion. These flashbacks actually help us understand Aizen and his knowing of Ichigo's entire life. So, I guess I have two questions: Is Bleach overrated or underrated? And, when the anime starts up again (this summer, I believe), will you still be watching/start watching again?

This arc and the first arc are some of my favorite arcs ever! The art is top notch and bleach's action is some of the best ever! I think it gets ragged on for the in-between arcs, the anime filler, and the dreaded fullbring arc. I mean, we've got the freaking Holocaust going on in Hueco Mundo right now! Bleach is epic. Case dismissed.

Bleach is underrated i dont think many left the series who wold read a 300 hundred plus chapter manga jut not to see the end. And fullbring was not that bad.
Bleach in terms of the big 3 has THE BEST FIGHTS. The fights are always well coreographed and doesnt have some kid screaming friendship all the time.

Overated, I think. I know so many people that watch and read it religiously, but I think it lacks plot. It has awesome fight scenes though.

I'd have to say Bleach is overrated, it has a much bigger fanbase than it deserves in my opinion.

I will admit the newest arc is quite enjoyable and it's something fans have wanted for the longest time. But everything between the Soul Society arc and the Thousand Year Blood War arc was mediocre if not outright bad. Most of it was mindless action, the character development was nonexistent, and there was no real depth to the plot. Truth be told the story simply repeated the exact same things it did before, but in a much worse way. Not to mention that the Fullbring arc was one of the most pointless arcs and a HUGE waste of potential for what seemed to be an interesting type of ability.

And the characters are used terribly (if at all) during middle Bleach. Soul Society arc handled development for a huge cast very well, but after that the now enormous cast of Bleach could not possibly manage to get in proper development and a lot of people were foddered in favor of Aizen trolling and typical Shounenness. Another thing is that the Yammy 0 Espada thing was utterly pointless since he was supposed to be the strongest Espada and yet got foddered offscreen by Byakuya and Kenpachi, who both seemed to have more trouble against Zommari and Nnoitra even though those were ranked a lot lower. Probably one of the most pointless and poorly done plot twists I've ever seen.

As of now, the Thousand Year Blood War Arc is probably the only thing that saves Bleach from me viewing it as a pretty bad series, as it seems to be getting back on track. But everything after Soul Society arc and up to that point was a real chore to get through.

It's true, the Fullbringer Arc...meh...I wasn't all that impressed. I skipped a massive chunk of those manga chapters/anime episodes because they were a yawn fest.

However, the Quincy Arc is amazing! I think Tite Kubo took like a 3 week break from writing just to travel to Europe and get some well needed inspiration. It's paid off.

- The Zero Squad rules (except that loser with the beaver teeth...the one that didn't repair Zangetsu)

- Aizen appearing in flashbacks, and speaking with the main villain of this arc.

- Grimmjow returns! I can't wait to see him in battle.

- The whereabouts of Uryu and Ryuken Ishida.

- Kenpachi communicating at long last with his Zanpaktou, and his flashback origins!


So yes Bleach is highly underrated.

It's an interesting concept. Something being overrated or underrated. If you were to ask this question about Bleach say a year or so ago, I'm sure almost everyone would say it's overrated. Now that it has lost a lot of its fanbase and the current arc is really good, I see most people have said underrated. I will agree with them too. At this point in time, I feel it is underrated.
