If not, I believe it should be explained how he even knows what the Juubi is... He knows the name of it.. And hes giving off the vibe that he knows how to deal with it.

But it doesn't resolve the mystery of him having info on it. Hashirama isn't dumb enough to say " I'll stop the juubi first". He literally put out a plan to take it out.

The question is how he is aware of it.

But where is your basis that Naruto people have named them those specific names due to their tails, and they know what the name for the 10-tails would be..

Like I said, your applying what we know in real life.. and assume that the characters know it to.
