I suppose that could be it, but the fact that if you just scroll through Naruto GD you will see a majority being as Fluffyguy so eloquently put it, "My fav character solos yours, gg".

When I first signed up (I lurked for a few years beforehand, never having anything I needed/wanted to post) most threads fell in the category of what Dr.Proof did. Analytical discussion about facets of the manga which were either under looked or never were a popular discussion piece prior to the thread.

See this is what I mean exactly. I am not taking a personal shot at you. I am not blaming you. I am stating what I've seen, this is why I didn't want to name specific users because it poisons the thread and makes it shit-flinging thread like so many others.

I haven't seen what 2012 Naruto Base looked like, so I wouldn't understand. Though, I do know there is some immature members (I will not say any names.) that post endless '*enter fav jutsu name* GG' and threads that just start ridiculous arguments.

If you're telling me back in the day, those sorts of things rarely happened if ever, then I'm pretty surprised. With how fast some people get banned here, Narutobase keeps a lot of order right now.

(And please do not put me in the pile of '2014 members who ruin this base'. I keep myself in line and respond to threads in respectable and serious ways, if not a slight, unoffensive joke at times.)

They really didn't that often. It was maybe 1/10 threads that would have the phrases "gg" or "/thread" (excluding questions which were answered and had /thread in the legitimate answer and not a troll answer)

Nowadays you're lucky if a thread doesn't have those phrases thrown around.
