I know, its kinda embarrassing. Out of all subjects math seems to be my weakest, I just can't seem to get my head around the formulas and equations and other shit. My teacher is a sarcastic smartass with 0% patience and I want to be a programmer but that shit revolves around math. I have to admit I've gotten better but I can tell I won't do well this year :( How did you guys pass?

It's called perseverance. When you lack aptitude, the only solution is to build up motivation and work your ass off. Of course, that will never be enough if you're aiming for excellence, but you should be able to become decent at best (assuming you're not a walking potato).

I just thought it was easy.

Even if you don't know the formulas, Algebra 1 can still be completed
if you can grasp that your goal is to separate the variable from as
many numbers as possible. From that point on things become self
explanatory and you can start slapping stuff together.

No, I don't think it is bad. Everyone learns at their own pace and we all have things that we are good and aren't good at :) It may be frustrating, but take your time, try your best and ask questions/seek help when you need it. I'm sorry that your instructor isn't very enthusiastic about clarifying things to you (and your peers). Maybe you could ask someone in your class who might understand the concepts better for some help? Or maybe you guys can help each other figure things out together. You said you have improved, and I am sure you can do it again this year! I wish you the best of luck! *_*
