A single bijuu dama can wipe a village or at least cause massive damage to it to take out most of its shinobis. Naruto can spam these without drawbacks and if he is in Rikudou Mode, only one of his attacks would take out a city in the Narutoverse. None of them compare to Naruto speed, chakra and power wise. The difference is huge and that makes Naruto>>>Kage level shinobis. It is obvious that Naruto can take on the whole NV with his power when we saw Madara crushing a division with ease and 3rd raikage taking on 10000 shinobis with the battle lasting 3 days which makes the battle extreme high difficulty in favour of the 10000 shinobis. Current Naruto will neg the 3rd Raikage.
Sasuke's PS can wipe off mountains in one swipe. As seen with Madara, it hardly was affected by Onoki's Jinton which implies it has great defense. Sasuke will erase all shinobis with ease.
I understand they are the main characters but that makes the series unbalanced. Personally, I think that Naruto/Sasuke should just have been a little above Hashirama's level.
I think too much emphasis was placed upon flashy techniques, in abilities that just look f*cking ridiculous - and this typical ass-pull we all know is due every time there's a new bad guy introduced.
I've lost count of how many different kinds of rasengans we've had over the series.... so... boring... :gn:
So eventually we end up with shinobi who don't remotely resemble the original concept or what a shinobi is/should be - we get typical anime shit of super-planet-detroying-powers and god-like underdeveloped characters.
What happened to 'hard work'? To actually being ninja, in making hard (and sometimes cruel) decisions for the betterment of their own, their village? To killing?... can't recall Naruto actually killing/finishing anyone off, or Sasuke for that matter... hmm....
Nah, they're just handed these godly powers because it was fated and... BAM! They're the saviours of the world.
I can (somewhat) understand how Naruto and Sasuke (being reincarnations... or whatever) are the exception to the general rule of what ninja are (usually)... but that sh*t excuse flew out the window with the declaration that Sakura was their "equal", that she had "caught up" to them and could "fight beside" them.

... no. Just no.
I miss Part I when there was hope for the series still, when ninja were ninja - that life lesson Zabuza and Haku's deaths taught Naruto was a great example. When Sakura cut her hair in the Forest of Death and faced the grim truth that yes, she was useless but was determined to do better to protect her team mates.
Also, it's why I loved the Kakashi Gaiden arc so much, a real war with realistic (suitable to the plot/scenario/expectations etc) issues, battles and techniques that didn't make me want to hurl all over my laptop.
I kind of (still) wish that Kaguya hadn't made an appearance - that the God Tree hadn't quite woken up and the war was all about Obito, Madara, reanimated shinobi, Zetsu clones and the Tailed Beasts.
Kaguya felt overdone - pointless - over the top - ridiculous - and in no way should they have been able to beat her. Felt like it was written for the video game.
Personally, I think they should have been more or less on par with Madara and Hashirama. That they're only capable of defeating Madara (w/Rinnegan and/or Ten Tails) by working together.
