Is hokage usually the strongest Kage??

Well when Tsunade came to the village to become hokage the only person stronger than her was Jiraiya and Jiraiya doesn't really live in the village. He's allied with the village of course but he is still a traveler. So I guess you can say that before Shippuden she was the strongest in the village and then during Shippuden she was surpassed and stuff.

It's false. Considering tsunade, all the other kages r stronger than her..... I think the 2nd was also weak compared to other kages of that era....

The 2nd was strong. he had space time jutsus, edo tensei and also was the best water style ninja ever. Obviously I can't prove it because there is not enough info about the other kages but it seems like he would probably be the strongest considering he's also the brother of hashirama senju.

I agree, we dont know much about the 2nd but that doesnt mean he's weak
for example he invented edo tensei (orochimaru just took over, and then kabuto)

with past 4 hokage that statement is true. however, when tsunade became hokage i would say that that statement became false because i'd say almost all other kage besides gaara are stronger

Why would you say that Tsunade is stronger than Gaara you are just insulting him and his power...Gaara can defeat Tsunade,Raikage,and Mizukage I'm sure of it because he has the aerial advantage and everybody except Tsuchikage is ground stricken.

Let me name a few that would trash her before Shippuden started.
Kakashi,Guy,Hiashi,Hizashi(whichever one),Asuma,Kurenai.
Maybe even Anko and shikaku.

Are you kidding me the 3rd Hokage was stated to be the god of shinobi and not to mention was stated as the strongest ninja of his generation(stated by iruka). he was amazing in his prime and the only one who would probably challenge him is oonoki. No oonoki is not invincible because he has the dust release and can fly because muu was killed by the 2nd mizukage who is not a dust release user. the 2nd hokage is also "probably" the strongest because he has space time barrier jutsu(would be effective against muu's dust release), edo tensei, and the strongest water style user ever lived and he is also a direct senju who are known to be one of two strongest clan, so don't assume he is weak. BTW 3rd Kazekage is not that strong because he was defeated by sasori who isn't weak but not one of the stronger atasuki members.

you have got to be kidding me! raikage would absolutely demolish gaara. gaara lost to deidara. yes gaara may be stronger now but nobody knows that for sure. raikage uses lightning, gaara is weak against lightning because he uses earth (sand). you have to be a blind and obsessive gaara fan to think he could beat raikage. furthermore, all of the shinobi you just listed that were stronger than tsunade are weaker. i really hope that was just a joke because if not you are a blithering idiot. i mean really, anko, kurenai, and asuma? asuma couldn't even beat arguably the weakest akatsuki member. seriously, not a one on there but kakashi would even stand a chance. why would konoha turn to tsunade to be hokage after hiruzen's death if all of those people were stronger? because they were all too young? nope, minato was younger and so was hiruzen. the only reason i can think of is that tsunade is stronger. we haven't even seen tsunade's full power and you are insulting her like this. she's a freaking kage, there's no way she's weak. and if you say, oh well kabuto beat her easily in the original show then you obviously know nothing about tsunade. she was emotionally unstable at the time and scared of blood. yes she got beaten to a pulp, but then she got right back up went toe to toe with oro summoned her slug and scared oro off with jiraiya. and this is after getting beaten to a pulp. i'd hate to imagine what she could do fully healthy and fully focused. she has been stated as the best med nin, probably in history. she has been stated to be practically immortal in battle because she can heal herself. lastly she has been stated to have superhuman strength. she is definitely stronger and can beat any person that you just mentioned. im not going to argue with you about her beating gaara because you are obviously a gaara fan and would refuse to see reason because you are stubborn.

raikage could reach gaara in air because raikage was able to counter naruto mid-air, as seen in recent manga chapters. not to mention deidara had aerial advantage on sasuke and still lost, so aerial advantage isn't everything. there are ways around that. also, hiruzen would beat 3rd kazekage i'm going to give a reason why only a nickname, GOD OF SHINOBI.

Gotta agree with that and thanks for finally someone out there not underestimating hiruzen, people aren't going to get nicknames like the "god of shinobi" out of nowhere, they obiviously have to be strong

well, the first was probably the strongest of the kages at his time, and the third was specifically said to be the strongest of his generation, and the fourth was stronger even than the current raikage, who is arguably now the strongest current kage... that leaves tobirama, who might have been strongest, we dont really know, and tsunade, who is not the strongest for sure.

I'd say that the 3rd and 5th Hokage are the weakest of all the Hokage we know. The 1st, 2nd, and 4th would put up a good fight against other Kage's from other villages.

I cant say Tsunade is the best or the weakest because she had to take care of the village in the worst time Konoha have seen.........she had to protect from Pain,Sasuke,Madara,that are really strong enemies.
She is a medical ninja and that make her different from other kages and stronger in that way.....I think so

The hokage's suppose to be the strongest ninja in the village but as we seen with ochimaru killing the kage in the sand village or even with sasori killing there kage at that time. The kage's are not always the strongest ninja.
