Can't say for sure, but it's 99.9% she's dead.
Dammit, sad but true... now on only a miracle to save her life, because there were no one to help her on the exact moment of the stab as pain don't expressed any surprise. Don't matter how much we try to find something, anything to prove she isn't, there are none at all. Now it's up to kishi to decide what he'll do, but considering what we have now, very unlikely.

tbh its not really 99.9% she is dead. cause we didnt see him stab her.
maybe he just wanted to fight the fox. i mean he didnt seem phased. i really hope she lives. i would even sacrifice kakashi for her survival.
they both need to live.

Pain's eyes dilate a little before he delivers the "fatal wound" so it could be his rinnegan creating a genjutsu to tease naruto and induce him into madness and pain. Remember in the previous manga with the fight between Sasuke and Uchiha, there was an entire scene of them fighting but in reality, they hadn't moved an inch because it was purely genjutsu. It maybe the same, the writer of Naruto might be putting us all under the genjutsu that Hinata's dead so he's pulled the wool over Naruto AND the entire Naruto-manga-reading audience!! Not me of course!! Hypothetically though

Oh dear, not again... part of me hope it's true but part of me not, but what you said about the eye may be true, because as far I know, looking up doesn't do any sound like it did on the manga. Looking close, we already saw something like this before: naruto=cloud, pain=sephirot, hinata=aeris/aerith, sakura=tifa. really. it shows me that people are either predicting that hinata is alive or hope that she is.

all possible outcomes make an entire plot line but the death in my opinion is the shortest. So i dont think she will be dead dead but something had to of made naruto that mad(6-tails) and something and to incapacitate hinata.

I honestly have no idea but I'm really worried that she is, because it's a very unfair thing to do. If Hinata has died:
1. We'll never know how Naruto would have responded to her feelings.
2. We'll never know if Hinata can prove herself as the heir of the Hyuuga Clan.
3. It could cause Kurenai alot of pain, as she and Hinata were very close. Kurenai has alread lost Asuma and now she may have lost Hinata.
4. Hinabi will inherit the Hyuuga clan leadership, and that's kinda boring considering she's had very little development as a character.
5. Apart from anime fillers, Hinata has never been written a fight in the manga. She deserves at least that.

Adding to your thoughts:
1. Naruto could stand over her grave and say something like I love you too.
2. That's always been Neji's destiny, imo
3. Meh.. Kourenai's even less of a side character than Hinata. I don't think Kishi should worry about causing her any pain. Maybe one panel of her with a sad face but that's about it.
4. Again, the current leader has acknowledged that Neji should be their family's future leader.
5. She's a side character. Her importance lies not within the story itself, but with the fans and their pairing tendencies.

I hope she lives... if she dies this series will loose interest to me... Hinata and Kiba are my favorite chars.. if either one dies... Naruto is over.

Ok:
1. We know that's not going to happen because that's far too emo for Naruto's character.
2. Hinata still deserves the chance to prove herself.
3. Kurenai is pregnant. Even though she is a side character, that kind of trauma is unfair.
4. Ok, he's admitted that Neji's Byakugan is more powerful than Hinata's and he's now training Neji. Never once has Hiashi stated that Neji will inherit the clan.
5. Hinata is one of the Konoha 11. Kishi has identified them and Sasuke as the main characters of the series. She's not as minor as you're trying to make her.

1. Hahahah, I agree with that man. The problem with her death for me is that is a way too cliche and too presumable and far below kishi's capabilities. Mean, I can list right now a bunch of comic, manga, anime and games where that kind of situation happens.
2. Agree, of all the character, naruto, hinata and rock lee is the one that decerve a chance to prove themselves, they all were called a failure. Naruto and rock lee already proved themselves, now there's only hinata left.
3. Agree, I don't have anything more to add here.
4. Agree, Hiashi said something about the impossibility of neji inheriting the clan, as he is a member of the branch: "if he only was born as a member of the main family..." - something like that.
5. Ok, agree again... since the beggining the rookies of konoha was for me the main characters of the series and I was expecting them to be developed until the end of the manga and want to see all of them on a possible future of the series, when all of them are adults.

1. im not sure about that. i mean it is quite a traumatic time for naruto.
2. true. i think hinata (if she survives) will have a more important role in future episodes.

4. i think hiashi just didnt like hinata because she was to kind hearted and didnt show much passion in learning her heritage. and naruto.wikia says that hinata has the more powerful byakugan
