[Discussion] Is Gaara stronger than he was when he was a Jinchuuriki?

Of course, he's stronger, but he would be even stronger if he still had shukaku and even more so if he learned to control it.

Would he? he was only the one tailed beast, and the fact is gaara is performing things the shukaku can do, without it even being inside of him.We have seen guys like kisame and the raikage both having having beast level chakra so it is obviously not impossible, and i actually thinks he is better off now.

actually i think saying he is nowhere near a tailed beast is incorrect raikage can have strength on the eight tailed level *proven by his huge chakra and ability to bitch slap killer bee* i dont think its far fetched to say gaara is now stronger then shukaku technically the weakest of the tailed beasts

He wouldn't be the Kazekage if he wasn't strong. The fact he became the Kazekage at such a young age only allows him to become even stronger.

who knows, i guess they implied in the chapter that he is know as strong or stronger then he was as the shukaku but i guess his dad has also been dead for 3 years and the last time he saw him was before Naruto changed him. I think he is stronger then the shukaku now, it seems like all the characters are getting major upgrades now.

gaara obviously surpassed his dad as expected but i did not really get the karura thing, so did he use his mothers powers? or the shukaku's? or both

I think Gaara is stronger than before, because of something very simple, that someone (I think Kakashi, but I'm not sure) said about Naruto; that it takes a lot of chakra of the jinjuriki to suppress the chakra of the biju, so with the biju gone, all of a jinruriki's chakra and power would just be his or hers... did this made any sense? I don't know if I explained myself well enough, but well.
