I recently watched Fairy Tale episode 1. It was okay but it didn't excite me though, it wasn't as good as Soul Eater, SAO and Deadman Wonderland's first episode.

I finished the anime and even read the manga, but currently, if I ever see Natsu's face again I'll get sick...
It can't compare to the big 3, it has absolutely no message and has the biggest case of plot armor.
I guess 12 yr olds or younger would like it, but overall it's mediocre.

OT: It's pretty great in the beginning and in the middle, but eventually you start getting tired of the main characters being alive because of plot. I do like the concept of the tournament which is in the end chapters/episodes and some other things.
Watch it or read it and when you start getting bored then stop, that's the best way to decide.

It's pretty good so far for me. I'm up to like episode 60 and I like it so far. Mostly cuz of the fights, the story is definitely a little boring

Lol depends on what your looking for ..if your a fan of chilidish care free anime's Which there is nothing wrong in doing so, then yes you should watch it, it has pretty cool characters, and is pretty damn funny, however the plot is weird and pretty bug plot shields, and almost no violence if you care for that kind of thing

That blonde is extremely useful you just have to watch more of the eps don't compare between them it's useless :|
I like it, I actually enjoy it more than Naruto as weird as that may sound to some of you, but I just love to not give a sh?t about anything else for those 20 minutes and watch/read it, it's suppost to ne a fun manga and Fairy Tail does fun very good
I dont care about the powerups or that chars dont die because to bw honest with my working schedule which is brutal most days and the fact that my general outlook on life is very pessimistic I just want to relax and follow a fun and happy series once a week or if I ever decide to open a volume

If you like Naruto, there's a 90% chance you'll like Fairy Tail. The main difference between them is that while Naruto has a better plot, Fairy Tail has much more likable characters. Also, don't expect too much from Fairy Tail when it comes to fights.
As for Sakura, while I agree that Lucy can be compared to Sakura, she's MUCH more useful, although the amount of screen-time she gets and her position as the main character of the series is not justified by her strength in relation to the other characters.
TLDR- It's a fun anime to watch. BTW the anime is on hiatus so if you finish it read the manga=D
