Cus, athesits say that religion is connected to so much bad stuff even though it is the face of morality.

Then religious people say that Hitler was an atheist.

You could also look att communism, and people who are far on the left, they seem to be very moral, but communism is connected to a lot of bad stuff as well.

So then atheists say that Hitler was religious, cus he was some religious figure people worshipped, same with Mao or Stalin.

And nazism was then sort of a religion.

My opinion is that nazism was not a religion at all.

And that saying it is just another religion undermines the seriousness of it.

But I'm not saying that cus I'm trying to find an argument pro religion against atheism.

I'm saying that cus I don't like nazism.

But I'm a little confused so I wanna know what you think about it.

I haven't read the book but the guy interested in evolution wrote a book that was almost called "the root of all evil", or something like that, referring to religion. And thinking, communism, nazism, etc is all religion, I mean it's easy to thnk religion is this evil overlord., like Satan himself.

There is a family guy clip of people being sophisticated and then when religion is introduced they start to kill each other.

Is this really how the world works? Or am I right that it's more complicated than that?

Religion is just government. Until secular government takes over.

Some people need religion because they have daddy issues. Or are just sheep. 90% of people are sheep that need to be taken care of.

Since there hasn’t been a significant secular shift, 50% of the United States doesn’t believe in evolution, religion serves as the only method to control the masses.

So religion is good to control the masses. Just like Santa is useful to keep children good.

Religion is root of all bad. That is, believing doing thoughtless traditions will make a difference.

As for me, believing in God Jeovah is something entirely different.

Religions cause more harm than good. They believe in false beings.
Ok but do you Think you can blame religion for communism and Hitler?

Do you Think religion can be in conflict with politics? Like, for example, if the bible says you should rest one day of the week, and you want to enforce a law that makes people not work on that day? That wouldn't work so then does normalcy itself get into conflict with religious interests?

Do you Think art can be considered religious? I don't think art is the same as religion.

Yes. He was Christian.
See I disagree, I Think he was christian in a traditional sense, I don't Think christianity is what motivated him. And communism was in conflict with religion, it was hard to be religious and a communist at the same time, if you are not allowed to be religious cus it takes away from a political system but then people accuse you of being religious cus you are part of that system anyway, how does that make sense?

----------

I think that, people think in terms of debates too much, it's either a or b.

As in, if nazism is not religion then that means atheism is bad and religion good, but I don't think it's that simple.

I don't think religion is good just because I don't blame the holocaust for it, I'm not part of that debate. But I wonder if people only take certain sides, use certain arguments cus they want to win that certain side.

Yes, of course!

Let's take a look in the word:

the belief in and worship of a god or gods, or any such system of belief and worship: the Christian religion. [ C ] informal an activity that someone is extremely enthusiastic about and does regularly: Football is a religion for these people.

Cambridge English Dictionary

So what do you grasp? It means either way a system of a strong belief.

The problem is: they see God Jeovah as an object, something that is there just to be part of a beautiful tradition.

What is the contrary. He is a living being whom you can talk and He will hear.

It's completly different.

I meant, Hitler was a chrisitan but that it wasn't something that defined him, I meant Stalin was a communist.

Yea I think there may be some Connections between art and religion people don't know about, I think on the Surface it's separate but there is probably some Connection to it.

Believing god would forgive you means you can do any evil thing to the Jews and still be given a free ticket to heaven.

Yea but you could twist stuff from the bible in all sorts of ways, believing there is no hell could mean you don't need to worry about supernatural judgement.
If God gave us Earth to tkae care of then that could be an implication we should be environmentalists.

That's all up to your own interpretation, I'm sure Hitler used the bible to get people for his cause but I Believe it was HIS cause, I don't think he read the bible or Went to Church and then got the idea that he needed to do christianity a favour.
I think he had his disgust for jewish peoople or he blamed them for Everything and then he used the bible to support this belief.

Except God knows our limitations and

...God “will repay each person according to what they have done.” Romans 2:6

And there is no heaven for humanity saved. The saved people shall live forever in the Earth. God's Heavenly Kingdom refers to his government over these people, that's what Heavenly refers to.

You really think He ignores the fact that sometimes the World system gets out of our control, and then he blames kids that kill to save themselves in war? Never.

You never read the whole book, did you?

My post is bound to ruatle jimmies either way I don't care facts are facts.

That it's root religion/atheism are based on a set of beliefs. One is from God and may be interpreted to suit an objective and the other is manmade/flawed and is used to achieve an objective.

Religious people are generally kept in check by God via accountability and the belief in resurrection and accounting for your actions. Where every soul will be judged for their worldly actions and justice will be served by God.

Stalin, Mao and Hitler were the purest atheists, the Brits who massacred the Aborigines were the real atheist. Any other atheist is a fake he deneis God yet doesn't adhere to survival of the fittest and dominance. Atheism by it's nature is inherently immoral as it uses as it's basis evolution(the weak are weeded out and the strong survive). That's why modern atheists or social atheists makeme laugh.

Nazism is more complex, Hitler needed a way to unify the German people after the oppression they suffered, and Evolution become the means to do so. If we look at it from an evolutionary standpoint Hitler wasn't wrong, he was weeding out the weak and propagating the survival and dominace of the strong.

Note: oppression = Germany was a rising power, both econonmically and militarily, pre WW1 and the existing powers (Britain and France) were practising containment. Their actions drew the Germany into a war to destroy it. Post WW1 they divided it into parts and saddled Germany with debts/repatriations which couldn't be repaid. The German government started to devalue the Mark(via massive printing to pay of the debts), which led to hyper inflation and the German people becoming impoverished, What followed was the rise of Hitler.

What Hitler did had nothing to do with socialism.
He was inspired by the eugenics movement that was founded in the usa.

During jim crow laws and slavery, people would claim that God never intended for races to mix and live together and claimed other races were inferior.
According to their logic,an inferior race breeding with another smart race will ruin that race.

But evolution shows that that is not true at all.
If a baby was taken from an African tribe and raised in USA or other first world countries, they would speak that language and just be as smart as the average person in that country.

Science actually shows that people are smarter when they are mixed with other races.

I second this, specially for the definitions and historical accuracy.

Survival of the fittest doesn’t mean strongest. It means that the organism is more capable of reproducing.

I laugh at jahova. Who freaking named you?

That's exactly what it means go back to Darwin's finches. The strong survive due to their superior features and the weak are weeded out. The strong dominate the food chain and their rivals even taking them out(predators) if need be.
